Its your drive. The clicking noise are the little gears inside the drive. They probably jumped or they just broke. Get a new one or you might find someone on craigslist.com to sell you a used.

This hard disk is a easy fix, You can buy a new one for the fraction of the cost, All you have to do is slip this off the unit and apply an new or even a used hard drive.
