This model uses a optical light engine---the lamp shines a very bright light into the unit---a series of baffles and prisms process all signal and at the top of the engine is a lens that projects the picture into a mirror which projects it onto the screen.

Heat from the lamp can cause the critical spacing of the lens and baffles inside the engine to separate----

This is what has happened in your case---you have a damaged optical light engine---expensive part.

Please comment if you need more information. I do not like giving bad news but the problem is classic with this and many models.

I just replaced bulb with new and after a day there is a dark spot on the screen

I have the same TV - I have a dark spot in the upper left hand corner. I have always thought this TV was dark. Be sure to get OME lamp. Cheaper ones are not worth it and can damage your TV more.
dlplampsource,com--Just a note if this ever happens to you. TV would not come on in the AM-Had no picture, but had sound. It was not the lamp, but the safety switch. It's blue and at the bottom of the lamp housing. As soon as I flipped it and replaced the back cover, the TV came on.

The optical block is most likely causing the problem. It will continue to get worse. Sony may help with the repair since they have had a lot of problems over the years with their optical blocks across many models. On the older sets they usually only help with the parts cost. The average repair cost for a optical block replacement is $1200.00 to $1500.00. So if they help with the parts cost it really brings the cost down. Their customer service number is 1800-222-SONY.
I hope this helps,

Blue dots on screen and blue patches in lower left corner and across the bottom. Lamp was recently replaced. Tv is 6 years old.

i have found one reference of his occuring with what is known a faulty LVDS cables. inside the set their are cables that take the signal from the main board to optical block. they look kinda like computer monitor cables. you might try reseating these cables first. the notes i found said that replacing the cables fixed the problem...something to try good luck

My sony lcdtv kdf-55wf655 has a blue line across the bottom of the screen and a patch of blue in the lower right hand corner

Your screen has probably been bumped by something.
The line may be possible to be fixed by an engineer reseating the cables internally, but the patchy area is a pressure fault and cannot be fixed without replacing the complete screen.
You can get these patches on things like laptop screens too, where somebody has pressed a finger on them a bit to hard.

Bottom right corner has blue line blotches on screen most of the way across from right to left.

This is a Optics engine failure, Call sony to see if the warranty they extended on this model is still in effect.
If not then the the only way to resolve this issue is to have the optics engine replaced..
