Question about Samsung RS2534 Side by Side Refrigerator

1 Answer

Samsung SR-S22FTCS I have 1 year old samsung SR-S22FTCS side by side refrigerator. one morning I woke up and the food inside the refrigerator are warm. The refrigerator is still working but not cooling (AT THE SAME TIME FREEZER IS OK). I tried lowering the temp by pressing the digital button outside but it did not work. Although, the water filter indicator needs to be replace. Do you think the water filter has something to do with the refrigerator not cooling? THANKS VEDO

I have a RS2544 Side by Side from Samsung with the same problem. The unit is less than 3 year old when I started having problems. The plug-in boot-up stops at the defrost sensor signal according to the manual that I bought from Samsung.

Samsung will not support the unit because their 3 service suppliers no longer service Samsung refrigerators. Samsung told me that although the unit is under warranty for the refrigeration loop, they couldn't help me until I paid to have someone (anyone since their service doesn't exist) comes in a services the unit. During a power outage the re-boot stops at the defrost sensor signal.

The defrost sensor was purchase and installed by a local refrigeration company, which was the diagnosis on the front panel display according to the service manual. However, the refrigerator on plug-in reboot still stops at the defrost sensor despite the fact that a new sensor was installed.

What should be done next, with my reltively new $1300 Samsung refrigerator. Costco will also not stand by the unit.

Approximately one a year, my Samsung SR-S22 side by side fridge freezer gets very noisy and then the freezer packs in. The lady in a repair shop told me to unplug it for 24 hours to let the sticking sensor defrost which I did and it then worked perfectly. However, I do lose food doing this and wonder if I need a new sensor or if it will always do this even if I fitted a new one, being a frost free appliance? Where can I buy this part anyway?

Have fridge freezer 8 years old , lights work but warm inside and all food defrosted , is it worth getting fixed or shall I get knew one?

My advice would be to go for a new one as the product you are holding is more than 8 years old. Although, obviously new is going to be a little on the expensive side as compared to getting this one fixed but technology has moved a long way in the last 8 years. Thus, your current Freezer is going to consume more electricity and even after being repaired, the performance shall not be optimal. While, the new Refrigerator not only is going to be Lessen your electricity bill but shall be a better choice both in terms of Style, Structure, Optimization and Performance.

Refrigerator not working blowing warm air

there is a control board located inside the lower left rear wall near the floor by the compressor end of unit, you will need to replace this board,a sign of this will be if you have heard a clicking sound from there and you have blown out light bulbs in the refrige section, and the temp indicators are out or dark, its easily replaced by unplugging old and plugging new board inside plastic box

I have a refrigerator that is 10 years old it is a tpx24pbe bb model number and the refrigerator side is staying at 50 degrees what is the problem?

On my GE side by side (model GSS20IEMDWW), a warm fresh food side, as well as iced-over evaporator coils in the freezer, was caused by the temp sensor in the fresh food side sending faulty data to the computer.

The temp in the fresh food side would climb because air could no longer pass over the iced-up coils in the freezer side.

For me, the faulty fresh food side sensor made the computer always thing the fresh food side was too warm, making it constantly run the compressor (thus icing up the coils).

If you do not have a coil icing problem in the freezer, then your fresh food side temp sensor may be telling the computer that the fresh food side is already cold enough.

Samsung refrigerator freezer not freezing

-2 although below freezing temperature, is not really enough to keep food really frozen. I am presuming we are talking in Celcuis. You need to set the freezer to a lower setpoint.

This unit has a history of problems on the refrigerator side. the basic reset is press and hold down the 2 middle buttons on the freezer at the same time. As a general rule the number one problem is in the mother board. usually you can replace it and everything will work.

Kenmore Elite refrigerator stops cooling - Relay keeps cycling

the relay on the compressor is most likely the culprit part# 8201786 you can buy it at the local sears parts and repair center it is very easy to replace it. your refrig compartment will start warming up soon. to prevent damage to your compressor probably a good idea to unplug the refrig until you get the part replaced..
