Look for bad caps first.
If you are going to DIY and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on:
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

wallybanq, All Cold cathode fluorescent lamp back-lit monitors use same basic design and principle of operation!!! Your unit no different. Do you know how to evaluate monitor internal power supply status with aid of bright flashlight?? You will porbably need to investigate and repair the "switch-mode-power-supply" internal to the unit. Read fixya profiles of "budmrtn" "buddymc" "12fixlouie" for DIY repair info. Some "black screen of death" units can be repaired for less than $8 if you have or can borrow a 40 watt soldering pencil and some solder. Also check out the video clips at YOUTUBE. Also check out this site: www.badcaps.net Once you know what it is that makes the FIXYA web page "white", then you will know just how similar those new "curlieQ energy efficient, CFL light bulbs work. Good luck with the repair. 12fixlouie

Over Range Signal

OK, you need to boot up in safe Mode, then change your screen resolution, to say 800x600, or 1024x768, this will then allow your monitor to operate, IF this doesn't work, then you will have to swap out, the Monitor and VGA card to find out which one is faulty.

Starlogic LCD Computer Monitor

I can't find a website for StarLogic anywhere, so either they have gone out of business (not likely as there should be some reference to them somewhere) or they are imported from a foreign manufacturer and rebranded with the StarLogic name.

If you are getting a "No Signal" message, someone may have inadvertantly pressed the wrong button on the monitor. Use up arrow of button #5 below to cycle through RGB (normal VGA connection) and DVI sources. Down arrow will result in "No Signal" message.

There are five buttons at the bottom of the screen on this monitor. From the left:
1 - sound volume
2 - degausser
3 - power on/off
4 - monitor set-up
5 - RGB/DVI source
