I have a Toshiba 27DF46 (27"). Now powers on with "Please wait. Thank you for your patience." Will not do anything else! Screen will stay that way for hours. Remote control will not bring up a menu or anything. Can only turn on and off. Period!

How do I reset my Sanyo 24K50 it appear blue screen and says locked.

First just hold the power button for 5-10 seconds and the television will automatically restart.

If the lock is still on you should unplug it and remove the battery from the back panel.

Leave it for an hour or so then wait several hours before you reconnect the plug.

Power on Message "please wait

First try to reset its pascode. You can do it by following method

If you forget your password, press RECALL

four times within five seconds while the TV is

in password entering mode. This allows you to
reset your password.
If you can't or the set don't allow to do this, call the authorised service personal, as the set is still booting, and does not compete it all. To retify this, you have to enter its service menu, and it is a very very skilled job, and you can't do it by yoursef. OK

My Toshiba 32DF46 has worked beautifully since I got it in late 2006. While on vacation for a month, I unplugged it so it would not be subject to any voltage spikes or such while I was gone. When I...

Generally a bad capacitor will dry out. The result will be no voltage passing through it. This is always my first inspection after I see the fuse or fuses are still good. I would certainly start there.

Will not turn on

I have an Olevia screen that sometimes does this. The solution is highly technical. Try unplugging the unit, wait a couple of seconds, and then plug it in again. I don't know what's going on, but this always works for me.

TV turns on, but the only thing on the screen is Please Wait Thank you for your patience.

Mine did exactly the same thing. Sound went out then the blank screen and the message. I was told by Toshiba Tech Support that this message is only set up in the channel scanning area. He suggested a "soft boot" (meaning unplug it and replug it. Did that and nothing. Did anyone solve their problem?

if you mean resetting to the factory defaults, the following should work:

press menu, use left or right arrows to get to "picture", use up or down arrows to select "reset", then press the right arrow
audio can be done the same way in the audio menu

hope this helps
