This symptom suggests that the projector is out of range of the computer. How do you have the devices connected exactly?

Turn off projector and computer and start them back with connection on, starting from laptop, check that the projector input is set up for the current connection to computer. Ensure also that the connection cable is ok. If this does not work then probably there is a fault, in this case refer to post above.

It does not let you adjust the color because it does not detect the connection, check cables and input settings.

Additionally some laptop have a function key combination that switches between output to built-in LCD, output to external monitor , and output to both built-in and external simultaneously. In this case ensure the laptop is set to output to both built-in and external simultaneously, or output to external. After doing this restart the projector.

most likely it is your cable. If a for sure brand new cable doesn't fix it it is most likely the main board. Also try flashing the software again.
