Check pressure regulator. It's the piece on the gas hose after the tank.

Only one burner will work. If you try and turn on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th the entire grill goes out

To solve this problem, first be sure you have adequate gas in the tank. If that checks out OK, do the following:

1. Turn the gas tank valve OFF and disconnect the hose from the tank.

2. Wait 5 minutes and reconnect the hose to the tank.

3. Open the tank valve VERY, VERY SLOWLY (Slow motion, slow).

4. Once the tank valve is fully open, light the burner farthest from the tank first and set the burner
control knob on HIGH. Does the flame height look correct for being set on HIGH? If so, light
the remaining burners the same way. Do all the burner flames look correct? If so, you solved
the problem. Remember, to always open the tank valve Very, Very Slowly.

If that didn't solve the problem, you will need to replace the grill's Hose/Regulator Assembly. It runs about $30.00 at any home center or hardware store that sells grills & accessories. If you replace it, turn the tank valve ON Very, Very Slowly.

Hope this helped you to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Happy Grilling and thanks for choosing FixYa.

We have intermittent low gas flow to our Viking grill. We have replaced the burners and the regulator. It worked fine on Sunday but now today only the first burner lights (and it's low even though I...

Lynn, the problem lies with the gas regulator and the way you turn the tank ON. But it's readily solvable.

1. Turn the tank valve OFF & disconnect the hose from the tank.

2. Wait 5 minutes and reconnect the hose to the tank.

3. Open the tank valve VERY, VERY SLOWLY (Slow motion, slow).

4. Once the valve is fully open, light the burner farthest from the tank first and set it on HIGH.
Does the flame height look correct? If so, light the remaining burners the exact same way.
Do all the flame heights look correct? If so, your solved the problem. Always remember to
open the tank valve Very, Very Slowly.

If that didn't solve the problem, you will need to replace the grill's Hose/Regulator Assembly. They run about $30.00 at any hardware store or home center that sells grills and accessories. Simply take you old one with you for comparison purposes.

Hope this helped you troubleshoot & solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.

Flames on burners not at full flame

Hope you get this in time for your 4th of July Cookout.

1. Turn the tank valve OFF and disconnect the hose from the tank.

2. Wait 5 minutes and reconnect the hose to the tank.

3. Open the tank valve VERY, VERY SLOWLY (Slow motion, slow).

4. Once the valve is fully open, light the burner farthest from the tank first & turn it to HIGH.
Did the burner light and the fa,e height look correct? If so, light the remaining burner exactly
the same way. Now, do all the flame heights look correct? If so, you solved the problem.
Always remember to turn the tank valve ON Very, Very Slowly.

If the above didn't solve the problem, you will need to replace the grill's Hose/Regulator Assembly, as the regulator is locked up. You can pick one up from any home center or hardware store that sell grills and accessories for about $30.00. Take your old one with you for comparison purposes.

I hope this helped you troubleshoot and solve the problem, Please let me know and Happy Grilling!!

Shortly after igniting the infrared burner, and while the burner is still heating up, the gas will explode spontaneously, blowing out the flame.

What you have is partially delayed ignition, This could be caused by a manufacturer's defect or the burner is clogged with debris. To test this theory, when you're preheating the burner, preheat on the lowest flame setting that you have, that will keep the burner lit. After 8 to 10 minutes, gradually turn the flame up to high. If the burner responds as it should, you shouldn't get that delayed ignition problem. If you do get it, the burner is defective and should be replaced.

Hope this helps solve your problem.

My 1100lp when burners are on low flame is to low and make squeeking noise and if a slight bit of wind will blow out flame. I cleaned burner tubes and replaced regulator with factory parts will heat up on...

turn off the LP Tank, disconnect the hose from the tank and wait 5 minutes. Reconnect the hose and turn the tanl valve on very, very slowly, until it's fully open. Light each burner and turn it to high. Wait for the burners to heat up and turn them down gradually to low. If flame height on low has returned to normal, the problem is solved.

If that didn't solve the problem, the air shutters on each burner may need adjusting. Consult the installation instructions that came with the new burners for the proper setting or consult your Owners Manual.

If it's real real cold outside, it's not unusual for the burners set on low to have a problem. The only solution to that is let the grill preheat well, before turning the burners down. Also, grill with the hood closed on low, if it's a windy day.

Hope this helps you and gets you back to grilling again.

The oval burner has only very low flame, even when set on high

Every one of these ranges that I have seen with the oval style burner on them have a smaller flame then the normal round burners. And there is very little difference between the low and high settings. It sounds like what you are experiencing is normal. What the GE repairman was adjusting is called the "simmer stop". There is a small flat head screw inside the burner stem. By turning this screw you can adjust the size of the burner on the low position of the burner knob. This should be adjusted to where the burner still stays on when the knob is at the lowest setting. I do not think that you need the burner repaired. From my experience they are all like that.
