Question about Kitchen Appliances - Others

Been trying to purchase 2 Double Rectangle wood lamps, #19364 with Lamps Plus.com. They cannot supply them. Can you find a source where I can purchase these 2 floor lamps. Amazon.com had 1. I need a set of 2. The item number seems consistent with the lighting stores on google.

I have just purchased 3 new Philips MR16 10w LED lamps to try in existing 12v 50w fittings - each with its own electronic dimmable 6o v/a elec t/x. As soon as the lights are switched on with the new lamps...

The LED light bulbs operate at 3 to 5 V usually. The noise your hearing is a result of the voltage reduction within the internal workings of the lamp base. The lamps should be installed with an
LED driver vs a transformer power supply.

This is usually on most packaging:

LED MR16 lamps operate in the same fittings as regular 12V lamps. However, they work best when they are mated with an led driver in place of the transformer.
Example of an LED driver:

The noise will not go away unless you use an LED driver with the MR16 lamps.

Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Naka 700ZXL- Intermittent Problem: After turning on the deck and at the same time the reel motor turns to eliminate tape slack one or more of the 15 lamps on the RAMM indicator panel turn on. If you...

from what is described of the lamps and the RAMM indicator the the negative 4.5 volt supply and the sometimes double spiked signal sound as though you have a weak regulator component or a voltage control circuit with a bad or weak component that needs replacement.
1. check electrolytic caps
2. all diodes/ resistance > all dropped/ no voltage in the voltage controlled circuit
3. trace voltage and current back to source to see if the supply is correct.\
If this is intermittent it means that a component or several components are growing weak and need replacement
4. a schematic for the unit is very helpful in isolating circuit component failure.

I have a 4 ft 2 lamp flourescent system. I am changing the ballast. The existing wiring has blue / red / yellow / black & white wires. I have a new ballast (yes I confirmed at the store it is the...

The first thiing I suggest is checking the installation instructions (either included with the ballast or on-line) of the ballast you just purchased. Many fluorescent ballasts require that the lamps be wired in series - which I believe is what you had before. One lamp connects between the red & the yellow, the other connects between the yellow & the blue. Other fluorescent ballasts require that the lamps be wired in parallel - which may be what you have now (both lamps connect between the red & the blue). The installation instruction sheets should designate the appropriate wiring configuration.

That being said, just double-check one thing: Make sure the new ballast is rated for 2-lamps. Ballasts rated for 1-lamp will only include the red & the blue (no yellow). So I know you sad you already checked with the destributor, but double-check that one point.

What type of lamps are they in this oven as I wish to source them but don't know what I am looking for. Thanks

they will be either E14 25watt or E14 15watt cooker oven lamps
to locate the lamp ensure oven is off and look to the back of the oven and unscrew the glass cover, then unscrew the lamp the wattage will be on the brass part of the lamp.

you will be able to purchase them from a local hardware store (if in doubt take the lamp with you and show it to the store assistant)

Hi Patrick,

It sounds like you have a damaged or incorrectly supplied lamp. You have established that the old lamp can be fitted and removed easily. You should not need to do anything when fitting the replacement lamp that you did not need to do to remove the origional. Compare the two lamps side by side and see if you can spot any differences. Perhaps some careful measurements may help.

Lamps should have a part number which will be common on both lamps. Non OEM lamps are supplied in re-manufactured housings, the better ones (eg Diamond & Pro-Gen) use the original lamps which are either Phillips or Osram. Cheap copies use 3rd party lamps which are less effective at best.

I would advise being wary of the source of this lamp if it is not Dell.

Not the power cord problem at this point, more likely to have failed Power supply or Inverter board.
http://lcdrepair.us/2007fpw-power.html
http://lcdrepair.us/2007fp-inverter.html

Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, blown fuses, poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed DELL monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

Pop up inspection lamps blown

Greetings!

The original equipment replacement part number for this lamp is SFDN122-01E and is in stock from www.encompass.com for around $7 plus freight. These are in white only, but you may be able to purchase small, rubberized covers (like a little lamp condom) from an accessory/parts distributor such as MAT electronics or MCM.

To access the lamp first UNPLUG THE TURNTABLE. Lock the tonearm in place. Invert the turntable. Remove the 4 audio insulators, remove the 17 screws with spacer and then remove the other 11 screws. Remove the bottom plate. Remove the 2 screws that hold the lamp circuit board in place. Then remove the lamp screw.

Hope this helps!
