Question about Televison & Video
It sounds like the circuit board itself has failing components, I doubt it's the "goo" at all actually. When you say goo is it actually a slime of some sort inside, or is it the rubber backing of the buttons that usually is there and depresses on the contact points below? Either way you are going to be better served just replacing the remote with a new unit, they never work quite right after they start having issues like this, you will practically need to replace the entire inner board, and by the time you do that it will cost more than just a new remote....
Let me know if you want me to help you locate a new remote, or if you want further help with the current situation...
Let me know and I can help!
