Question about BUSlink Computers & Internet

One of the USP devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it. The device is my Busslink USB model UII 120 and I have a lot of my work on this external drive. Can it be salvaged? This unit is 4 years old.

Replace leads that are attached to the drive then if you can see this drive
press delete during boot up process enter BIOS then f1 for general help then run chkdsk/f which will automatically fix any corrupt files on your hard drive

This occurs because the windows USB driver is not installed properly .

THE PROBLEM MIGHT BE IN THE DEVICE YOU ATTACHED TO YOUR LAPTOP.
IF THE DEVICE IS OK THEN THE PROBLEM IS IN USB PORT OF LAPTOP.
FROM MICROSOFT WEBSITE DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL (DISABLE PREFETCH), HOPE SO THAT IT WILL SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM

Change the usb cable and then plug. Make sure you had installed proper software before connecting the device.

Tried the solution you offered for c240....


Go to Start --> Control Panel --> Printers and Other Hardware --> System --> hardware --> device manager --> right click on the usb port that is malfunctioning (should have a red or yellow exclamation by it), right-click it and click on Update Driver

If that fails, try another USB port on the computer to see if you have more success
