Now that is about the most expensive mistake you can make, theres a good chance youve permenantly broken it and even a repair would be pricey

I have a hp laptop that got turned off during a factory reset now stuck into a loop

I don't know the definitive answer but if it was my problem I would open the bios and adjust the boot sequence and then restart with the system or recovery disc in the cd drive, or alternatively a memory stick with the software loaded.

The system disc should break the loop and offer either a hdd format and reload or a repair service.

The alternative would be to remove the hdd and format it using a usb adaptor from another pc.
Note, if your laptop uses 64 bit operating system the "other" pc should also use 64 bit.

Hi my Samsung no r530 says operating system not found. I checked the bios and it does recognise my hard drive and I changed it back to booting hard drive as first priority but STM nothing. I can't use...

Well, the obvious would be to remove the HDD and Test. Replace if necessary. You can try to reseat it. Has the laptop beed dropped, jarred, etc.? Have you tried a Cold-Start on the machine? Unplug, remove battery, leave battery out, plug in look in BIOS? It's a long shot, but worth a try. Before you replace and lose all your data.

Hi

If there is nothing on your laptop that you need to keep then you could try the factory restore

to do this

power on and straight away press the Alt+F11 keys a couple of times and this should
hopefully take you into the factory restore options

then follow the on screen instructions

many thanks

I have a compaq presario qc60-215dx and the mouse and keyboard will not work. I tried restarting, taking battery out, pressing button above mouse and nothing. I had left it idling earlier and when I came...

Hello.

Most commonly, you either you have an operating system problem or memory issue to cause your system to freeze.

First, boot your system to Safe Mode (press F8 repeatedly). Go to System Restore and choose a date when your system worked OK. Note: with System Restore, all your updates will roll back to that date.

To access System Restore in Windows 7: Open the Start Menu. Click on All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and System Restore.

If still a problem, disconnect all cables. Be certain to dispel static electricity by touching metal. Remove the battery. Remove the memory cover. Try reseating (removing and reinserting) your memory (try one module at a time to test).

Hope this helps.

My laptop keep shuting off everytime try to start, one time it satyed on byr only the cursor on the blank screen, thats it nothing. could you help me to sort this out, thank you sam

Hello.

The most common reasons are the battery, power jack and power adapter/cord.

Power off and remove the battery. If the laptop powers on with just the adapter connected, your battery is faulty.

If you move/wiggle the power adapter at the point where it connects to the laptop, and the power goes off and on, the power jack is the problem.

The power jack is inside the laptop and either needs soldering or replacement.

If no change, the power adapter is probably faulty and needs replacement, if a power issue.

If not a power issue, then either you have a memory issue or operating system problem.

First, disconnect all cables. Be certain to dispel static electricity by touching metal. Remove the cover. Try reseating (removing and reinserting) your memory (try one module at a time to test).

If still a problem, boot your system to Safe Mode (press F8 repeatedly). Go to System Restore and choose a date when your system worked OK. Note: with System Restore, everything, including your documents and other files you saved on the hard drive, will roll back to that date.

To access System Restore in Windows 7: Open the Start Menu. Click on All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and System Restore

Hope this helps.

System keeps freezing during start up, gets to showing icons and then sits and goes no further and nothing will open

Try to start up in safe mode or go to the recovery console to 'recover' to original settings of the computer, or try to 'restore.'

I know you're having problems getting it to not freeze on start up.

If worst comes to worst, then try to get a full install or upgrade DVD for windows 7 to reinstall the windows operating system with the latest operating system available for your omputer.

God luck on this repair.

You probably need to reload the operating system or maybe your hard drive is beginng to fail. Try and install the original operating system and see it this cures the problem.

The phone is stuck in a loop cycling on and off. Did not drop or get wet just started shutting down and coming back on - looping

Try removing the SIM card and the memory card. Then try turning it on. In case it still does the same, there might be some problem with the Operating System of the phone.
