Lamp comes on for about 5-8 seconds only with power led blinking green, then lamp goes off. Also, at first, fan comes on with both Power and Temp indicators both blinking red.
Then fan stops, and at that point the indicators settle permanently at: Power blinking red. Temp blinking red. Lamp indicator off.
Have tried normal stuff (cleaned air filter, switched off for 45 minutes, reset by putting pin in reset hole). But, same problem every time. Can you advise? Thank you.

Hi George86969

Try checking if all the fans are working when you swich on the unit. Normally a static red temp. light is a faulty fan that will have to be replaced.

The previous answer is good - be careful with petrol - you may also need to top up the tank with fresh fuel - it tends to go off - if you can't put enough in the tank you may need to drain some off.

Infocus in104 projetor problem: power off, temp red, lamp green

Most probably failure of the thermistor or thermal fuse that detects the temperature of the lamp housing - so the projector thinks it's hot even when it's cold. Unfortunately it will need a trip to an authorised service centre for repairs

hi,
Do one one thing. check the lamp of your projector. For removing the lamp see the bellow picture.
also check the lamp colling fan. If it is faulty this fault can occur.

2.Push up and remove the cover.(2)
3. Remove the 2 screws from the lamp module.(3)

TV turns on for few minutes than shuts down and comes back on for few minutes and shuts down again. can you help me understand where to start

Hi it looks like you have a bad ballast issue or bad lamp this lamps are rated 6000-8000 life hours that equal to 2-4 years of use so if your lamp is around that old it could be that the lamp is burning out but if you have a new lamp and get this issue then the problem will come from the power source of the lamp witch is the BALLAST BOARD that it might not be able to maintain the lamp on I would start with the lamp if it is a old one all ready

Mitsubishi HC900 Projector shuts down after 5 minutes.

You have 1 of 2 possible problems.

(1) You need a new lamp.

(2) You have an overheating problem.

Just a quick couple of notes about your projector. It is a DLP projector (not LCD) and as such the machine as no air filters to clean. It does have air intake and air exhaust grilles, but no air filters to clean. This next part comes directly from the owner' manual for your projector:

When the lamp operation time exceeds 2000 hours*1 *2, the projector automatically shuts off and can’t be used until the lamp is replaced and the lamp operation time is reset.

Your machine is designed to give visual warning messages at 1500 hours used, and 1900 hours used. Did you see any visual warning about lamp life over the past few months?

If you were experiencing an overheating problem, a "TEMPERATURE!!" message would flash up on the screen just before the unit shuts down. If there is no warning, you don't have a heat problem.

If you have a replacement lamp available, install it and reset the lmap hours according to your user manual. If you don't have the manual, google it on the web (it available).

Hi SmartMex

This in not a lamp problem , but rather a Mainboard issue.

You will have to take it to a Service Centre to either be repaired or replaced.
