Hi,
L1 and L2 are the "line" wires where you connect the power TO the heater....
Check the voltage on the name plate. but it probably wants 220-240 volts...

How to wire this PS4060 correctly ?

You should have 4 terminals and 2 green grounding screws. 2 terminals are marked Line or L1 and L2 etc, the black from the power supply goes to L1 and the white to L2. Other 2 terminals are marked Motor or M1 and M2 etc. Balck from motor goes on M1 and White on M2, The ground wires from both cables go one to each green screw.

How to connect the power to the dryer

most likely 240volts as most 120 volt dryers are already wired,depending on if its a 3 or 4 wire system depending on local electrical codes,but if its a 3 wire cord,take the RED to terminal L1 and Black to L2 terminal on the dryer terminal board HINT:(the RED and Black can go on either L1 or L2 they are interchangable) ,then the White wire to the N neutral terminal on the dryer terminal board usuall between the L1 and L2 terminal,if theres a Green Wire on the cord this is safety ground and can be attached to any metallic part on the dryer,if its a gray flat cord the 2 outside wires are L1 and L2 the center is Neutral,
so its:
RED=L1 or L2
BLACK=L1 or L2
WHITE=N or Neutral
GREEN=Safety Ground the metal dryer frame

I am trying to wire a dayton booster pump. it shows a L1 and L2 connection on the 115v connection. L1 goes to P1 L2 goes to T4. on the 220v connection it shows L1 and L2. L1 goes to wire P1 and L2 goes...

The power cord has a green ground wire; two hot wires, which are black and red; and a white neutral wire. Attach the neutral to the middle connector and the two hot wires to either end of the terminal.
In order to safely ground the machine the green ground wire must be securely connected to the dryer frame. There may be a screw on the frame where you can attach the ground

Power cord comme unpluged from inside ac unit. has 2 spade and 1 green ground where do they go ?

Look for the terminals on the switch marked, "L1" and L2. this is where the two spade clips go. It really doesn't matter which one goes to L1 or L2 as long as you don't wire the green to either one. The green wire is the ground and should be screwed or clipped to the case of the unit.

Need to change to a 4 plug

BLACK TO L1 / RED TO L2 these are your 2 power phase wires and you actually can hook them to either power lug on the terminal strip, then the WHITE wire goes to the NEUTRAL terminal sometimes marked just N usually in between the L1 and L2 terminals, then the GREEN wire goes anywhere on the unit that that connects it to the units case which is the SAFETY GROUND

Which colored wires connect to the dryer?

I'm assuming you're referring to the 220 volt power cord. You should have a red, white, black, and green wire in the cord, or you may have 2 black wires and no red. The terminals on the back of the dryer should be marked with L1, L2, N, and GND (or ground)
Connect the white wire to N.
The black and red (or both black) wires connect to L1 and L2 in no particular order.
The green connects to ground which should simply be a screw in the sheet metal on the back of the dryer.
I hope this helps

I take it the wiring harness in front of me is 3 Phase. I have a Green wire, Red, Black and White. The wiring diagram on the back is marked L1, L2, N, E. Just need to know which wire goes where thanks.

It is not 3 phase...just single phase 240V....L1 goes to the one hot side of the 240 v, l2 goes to the other hot side of the 240V, N goes to neutral, and green goes to earth ground (metal box)
so....L1=Black L2=Red N=White E=Green

We have a jenn air outdoor cooktop. The right side didnt work so we took apart and blew circut breaker. Now we are trying to re wire but dont know where the green ( ground) connects. Canyou please help?

Hi, depending on your local electrical code:and I see that the unit is 240 Volts A.C., then RED=Power/Black=POWER(L1 & L2)/WHITE="N"Neutral/and GREEN=SAFETY GROUND,on the new unit, then use from the wall power BLACK = L1 and White= L2. then on the unit RED=L1 and BLACK=L2(either way you hook these 2 up there isn't a polarity issue on these 2 wires) on the units hook-up/then use the BARE supply wire as neutral and tie BOTH WHITE and GREEN from the unit together to this BARE wire..

Take care
