Question about Zebra TLP 2844-Z Thermal Label Printer

1 Answer

Zebra printer 2844: prints one label and spits out several empty labels and stops midpoint of a label. To print again, I must correct the label position, turn off then on. Cannot get dump to work...only spits out tons of empty labels.

If you are using a windows system please go into the control panel by clicking the start button and choosing control panel. In the control panel go into the printers, right click on the label printer, choose printer properties and then click the tab labeled printing preferences. Choose the page setup tab and please let me know the size that is specified next to the name.

My Zebra ZDesigner LP2844 feeds a blank label after printing a label. How do I make it stop doing that?

Define your label size correctly. Measure your LABEL exactly, do not include the backing paper or the gap. Calibrate the printer. HOW?
Power off printer. Press and hold the green feed button down and power printer on. Count one, two and release green button. The printer will calibrate and move labels and then print some stuff on the label. Wait until it has comletely stopped. wait another few seconds and the press the feed key once. The printer will print "out of dump". You should now be ready to print again.

Everytime i turn on my zebra tlp 2844-z it prints 2 blank labels.anyone please help me to solve this problem

Are you using the correct labels?
Direct Thermal Printers use different labels than printers with ribbons.
If you print a label using labels from a ribbon printer in a direct thermal printer they will come out blank.

My zebra tlp 2844 is loaded with perforated labels 2''x1.38''. each time it prints a label, it spits out about 20 blank labels, then the light goes red and won't print again.

Calibrate it! Hold down the green feed key while powering on and then release when it flashed red. If this fails, look at the page size in the driver or the "Q" and "q" EPL commands that you are sending from you application. Make the proper dots to inches conversion and try again.

When you say 2 x 1.38, it sounds like the labels are 2" wide by 1.38" long. I do not believe that the length is below a specified minumum, but this information is not on the spec sheet. Try tech support if all else fails.

Look at the stocks tab in the driver. There is an area in your print driver to adjust the width/height of the kind of label you are trying to use.
