SOURCE: Need power supply for Hp 336044-B21 KVM Switch.

There are a few things that you can do. First; try to go online to HewlettPackard.com and locate the power supply. Second;go online to ebay and search for the power supply. Last;locate a Batteries R Us store in your city. They have a huge supply of batteries and power adapters. If you do not find a HP adapter the store person can help you find one that is complimentary to your HP adapter.

SOURCE: repeated IOGear KVM switch failures

As a wild guess, it sounds like a static discharge MIGHT be affecting the switcher causing it to crash.

Try increasing your humidity to 40% and grounding yourself before touching the keyboard... This is the season for these static electricity problems... get nipped all the time and you MAY not even feel it to be enough to zap the switch.

I had the same switch, and when it went bad, it stopped recognizing my video card, mouse and keyboard, all at the worst times (In the middle of Deathmatches lol)
Try a different keyboard first, and if it still does it, most likely the switch is going.

Hi I am having a problem with my KVM2 switch recognizing my MS 2000 keyboard. The Keyboard is usb with the adapter on. It reads my mouse but not the keyboard. I have connected the keyboard directly to...

Once you have plugged the keyboard directly into each unit and have loaded the drivers what you need to do is this:
Plug the keyboard back into the KVM switch.
Now take an extra keyboard, a PS2 if you have one, and plug it directly into the PC and use it to reboot the PC while the other keyboard is plugged into the KVM
(so you actually have 2 keyboards plugged in)
After you reboot if it doesn't install automatically try to install it manually with the extra keyboard
You might have to reboot 2 or 3 times.

Be sure to email me back if you have any more questions orif you need any assistance with this solution. Thank you

Have a GCS634U KVM that keeps failing to switch. acts like it lost the keyboard

This GCS634U was designed to work with USB keyboards and mice.

First, you need to make sure that your using a direct USB keyboard (no PS/2 to USB adapter).

Second, connect the keyboard directly to the computer and make sure that it's working correctly.

Third, check the connection between the KVM switch and the computers. Try to connect the USB cables of your KVM into different USB ports of the computers.

Last, try to use different USB keyboard to see if the issue is the KVM or the keyboard.

Try to power cycle the KVM switch. Disconnect the KVM from the computers and make sure that there's no even one cable connected to the computers.

Leave the KVM switch disconnected for 10 minutes, then plug it back in. Reboot one computer first and wait until it's fully rebooted. Turn on the second one untill all computers are fully booted up.

If same problem occur, then you need to contact IOGEAR and have them RMA the device.

Thank you and good luck!

USB Keyboard and mouse wont work with PS2 KVM with adapter

Have you tried rebooting once it is connected? Not sure if it makes a difference, but I know you can not hook up PS2 peripherals without rebooting.

Hi, the CS62U is connected with an HP8750 (win2000) and a MSI WIND NETTOP 120 (win XP home). It works perfectly with the HP desktop but the mouse is not responding anymore.

Try this:
1. Disconnect your HP computer, so that only the MSI Wind is connected.
2. On the keyboard, hit [Numlock]+[-] then press [A] (this will auto-search for the computer that's connected, and connect both keyboard and mouse to that port).

Give XP a minute to detect new hardware. If XP does not detect the mouse, try plugging the mouse into a port directly on your netbook. If XP still does not detect the mouse, it's XP that's not detecting your mouse properly, not the kvm switch. :) If it does detect it, you should be able to then plug it back into your kvm switch and it should work at that point.
Note: if you get stuck with lights flashing on your keyboard, just hit [Esc] on the keyboard. That will reset the KVM switch.
Hope this helps!

All Keys do not work on keyboard with KVM switch

GCS632U is designed to work with standard USB keyboard an mouse only. You have to make sure that you are not using any type of adapter such as PS/2 to USB adapter. To further isolate the problem, please follow the steps below:

1. Connect the USB keybord directly to th computer to make sure that the keyboard is working properly.

2. Make sure that the keyboard is connected to the keyboard port on your KVM switch. You may take a look under neath this GCS632U (near the USB ports) and you will see an icon where to connect the keyboar and mouse.

3. If you're still gettings the same problem, Try power cycling this kvm switch by disconnecting if from the computers and disconnect also the keyboard and mouse from the KVM switch and leave them disconnected for a minute or two.

4. Reconnect everything after two minutes and then reboot the two computers.

5. If same problem exist, try using different USB keyboard.

NOTE: This KVM swith does not work correctly with wireless, gaming and smart keyboards because it's designed to work with standrd USB keyboard only.

I'm currently having to manually switch between my PC and Mac. When I unplug the Dynex Model DX-WKBD keyboard and mouse (both wired) and service cable from the Mac and plus them into the PC, the Number,...

Rather the switching them, you need a KVM (Keyboard/Video/Mouse).
This will allow you to connect the 2 computers to 1 keyboard an mouse. These can be found at any office supply chain that has computer hardware (Like Staples or Office Depot) or online.

To connect it, power off both computers, connect the KVM to each, and then plug your Monitor, keyboard and mouse into the KVM. Power on the systems (one at a time).

Mac and Vista

Operating System doesn't deal anything on your problem. The problem depends on the brand of you computers or the type of keyboard you are using.

The GCS632U is designed to work with standard USB keyboard and mouse only. And wireless and gaming keyboards and mice are not guaranteed to work correctly with this KVM switch. If any one of you is using the new Mac Aluminum keyboard, this keyboard will not work with the older version of the GCS632U. But IOGEAR releases a new batch of GCS632U that would work with the Apple Aluminum keyboard.

If you have an Apple Aluminum keyboard that does not work with the GCS632U, you may contact the IOGEAR Tech support and they will process a Return Merchandize Authorization (RMA) if your device is still under the warranty period.

To resolve your keyboard issue, try to power cycle the KVM switch by disconnecting it from the computers, disconnect also the keyboard and mouse from the KVM switch. Leave it disconnected for two minutes. After two minutes, reconnect everything and reboot the computers.

My Keyboard only works on one PC but the monitor and mouse works on both?

Plug the key board and mouse directly into the computer that doesn't work, let it recognize the hardware and then reboot. After reboot, plug the keyboard and mouse back into the KVM and reboot again. That solved the problem for me. Most likely, the computer that doesn't work has never loaded the driver for that key board and does not recognize the input sent from the KVM.
