If your TV dead after the lightning, then your TV doesn't power ON with red light stays on lit you possibly have faulty main board.

If totally no indicator try to replace the fuse on power supply board if busted or blown (it is usually connected directly from power cord.

If the fuse still blown you need to replace the whole power supply board.

please rate!!!

Speakers no power

No Power means no supply. Step by step troubleshooting is recommended. Start with the main source power, then the cable wires, then to the primary section of the circuit board. Some components may be busted already.

No power to TV

First thing to do if your television have no power is check the power outlet, then the AC cord continuity. If the ac cord have power supply, check the fuse, maybe the fuse is busted. Its is located at the power supply. So try to remove and open the back cover of your TV and look the power supply and replace the fuse if busted.Replace same value of fuse.Try this procedure, hope it will help you.Thanks..

It wont turn on at all

Good day to mam wendy311!!!!

If you TV is totally dead set and no red light or green light on the front...

if that so the problem could be cause of dead set power power supply board...

You have 3 choices its either repair it on your own or took it to the technician or buy a new set of power supply board..

But for me I suggest to buy a new power supply board because if you took it to the technician cost of repair is almost or higher depends on the bad parts than the new power supply board...

But before you buy a new PSU please check this simple and common parts that usually cause of dead power supply board..
  1. Transistor----Check if shorted
  2. Capacitors----Check if bulged or leak.
  3. Resistors----Check if open or change value..
  4. Fuses---------Check if busted..

I hope this solution will be helpful..

Thanks for using fixya...

My tv is dead , nothing at all , no sound-no lights nothing

that problem is in the power supply..

try to open the cover then look for the power supply if you see the power supply try to see inside then look for the fuse if busted?if it is busted check all the possible caused like power transistor called regulator.diode, transistor check if it is shorted..and also look for the leak capacitor and open resistor when you find defective parts replace it and finally try to test it again

please rate my answer if it is helpful thank you

Doesn't want to turn on

try to check the power supply chord or check the fuse, if fuse is busted try to replace it. if fuse is busted again there is a problem in its power supply, bring it to the nearest service center

Busted power supply

You might as well buy a new power supply. There's no point in trying to go through the circuitry on it and testing every little component to replace it and then try to figure out the specs of it and then order the little piece whatever it may be.

My recommendation, buy a new power supply :)

Red standby light flashing, tv not starting

If it is a tube television. First check your AC socket then if you have line protection. If directly connected to wall socket, much probably a fault on high voltage section or power supply section. Horizontal output transistor, flyback, minor component on high voltage section or power supply. Check also the fuse. But busted fuse indicates a fault on the system. If you are not inclined on electronics. Have it check by the experts. Line supply and high voltage inside.

Dead tv

Sounds like a power supply problem. I am sure that the pop is the fuse blown. If the fuse is blown, this means that there is a short somewhere. Rear projection TV are like LCD projectors. And all of them use Switch mode power supply. If you are lucky, there is a chance that a protection device (like a varistor) is sorted. This means that removing this, even without replacing will bring your TV to life, however... Most probably the power supply is defective.
