You have a fault in the High Tension side of the TV set. This fault is causing the Tube Safety cutout is "Tripping" probably due to over voltage.

Samsung HLP4674W - changed bulb - still no picture - lights flash

If the lamp has been replaced I would think the Lamp ballast would be most likliest followed by the color wheel and then the Digital board. You can get any part needed for your model at www.tvrepairworld.com just leave them a email they respond quickly.

hi it sounds like it may be tripping(not taking drugs)were the protrection curcuit detects a fault eg excessive current.and goes into shutdown mode(protection mode)and makes several atemts to switch on and will continue tripping untill the fault clears.in order to norrow the fault down one would isolate differnt parts of the curcuit utill trhe tripping stops you then know the conponent/panel area were the fault lies or it can be a dry joint (needs soldering hope it helps and tell me your knowoldge

Surge Protection I believe

your set is experienceing low B over current or over voltage tripping the protective shutdown. Indicated by 6 blinks. You will need to check the +5 line on the A and B boards for being over loaded or shorted. If you would like the service manual for this set and be able to recieve free tech support with manual purchase. let me know and I will post a link

Convergence chips replaced, now power goes to standby immediately

Whenever you suspect you may have a solder bridge where you did not intend one, use a digital meter set on connectivity to check out whether you are getting a short. If so, most likely you need to redo it.

Doublecheck by using the same meter set on ohms reading. If it is super low, like 1-2 ohms, it's shorted. Your conductivity beeper may still sound off if it's less than 100 ohms, which may be a valid reading between 2 points on any cb.
