Bissell Proheat Clearview water problem

water comes out hose. i think that something is worng with the diverter knob assembly.

The water comes out the hose at the same time. The diverter only diverts the suction from floor to attachment. If it is constantly spraying there is a problem with the attachment. Is it not spraying on the floor?
