I've got the same problem. I can't view properties in the print page anymore. Also, word won't print any clipart or Word Art. HP's suggestion is that you buy another printer. Maybe, but it definitely won't be an HP. :o)

Yes, this is the right one for the black ink. To test it out, go to your Desktop, press "Start" then go to " Printers and Faxes", and right-click on your printer. Then select "Properties" and then press "Print a Test Page". If this doesn't print properly, press Troubleshoot, because you may have to clean your printer contacts.
You need to re-align your printer, please follow these steps: XP/2000: Go to start > control panel > printers > right click your printer and choose properties, go to maintenance and choose "Print head alignment" follow the steps on the printed page and you will be fine. Vista/7: Got to start > Devices and printers > right click your printer and choose properties, go to maintenance and choose "Print head alignment" follow the steps on the printed page and you will be fine. In case the steps are unclear, you will have to put your printed page under the scanner and press the scan button. Good luck.

HP PSC 1210 software wont work with vista. That is the software that comes with the printer containing photo disk ,toolbox etc. HP tells me to get a new printer but its the program that needs attention.
