Today it said Shockwave has crashed

Hey Pam,
SHOCKWAVE is a browser add-on application( plug-in) required to open and see some content on some websites...
In the case of Google Chrome,
"More so than other browsers, Google Chrome is particularly susceptible to a specific but not uncommon situation in which it simply will not coexist peacefully with Adobe Flash-frequent slow downs and annoying crashes are common as a result."
To repair, see ref below good luck

Ricoh SPC400DN Getting frequent "Press A

It sounds as if it is not picking up the paper from the tray. It might need new feed rollers. Another thing to check is the lift arms on both sides of the tray. Make sure the springs are still attached to them. There is also a little switch on the left side front of the tray that adjusts the bottom plate pressure. You can try adjusting that to see if it helps.

Explorer will not open, it either freezes and does not respond or it crashes.

Is this Internet Explorer or File Explorer? If its Internet Explorer then try this:

Goto Start > Run
in the Run box type 'explorer' without the quotes
in the address bar of explorer type in the website address you are trying to go to.

If that works then you need to uninstall and reinstall Internet Explorer or better yet uninstal IE and install FireFox.
