yes, they started with a few, 2-3 and now there is like 27.! and counting..I cannot get any help from the place i purchased it, and believe it is still under manufacturers warranty..what can i do.?
the spots never move, they stay in the same place, they just keep adding more everyday, and are mostly near the bottom of the screen and right side. there is also a cold air vent about three feet from the left side of the tv..could this be why the spots are all on the right side.?

Clear case of bad DMD module. Does this happen on all inputs? Do the dots stay in the same position always?

No I don't think its related to the cold air vent. It is clearly a case of bad DMD. Please let me know which country you are located in so that I can give you the customer support contact info for your country.

This is usually due to physical damage from the screen being touched or bumped. There is no way to repair.

White spots on my screen

Seems like a dead pixel in the display. The only way to fix it is to buy a new screen which could be more than the TV itself or just buy a new tv.

Thousand white spots on screen started with two more every day can it be fixed ???????????????

Sine the TV's a rear projection DLP and the problem "grew" over time, perhaps those white spots are... DUST!!! Try a vacuum cleaner; there are ventilation holes/slots on the back and sides. If sucking and/or blow air into it moves the spots, then it's definitely dust or some other debris/contamination. If the contamination is hard to access, you may have to open it up to do liposuction.

White dots on screen

I developed white spots on the screen of my Mitsubishi WD-57734 in increasing numbers over days and weeks. I called a repair service who quoted me $1500 to replace the light engine. He suggested I call Mitsubishi Customer relations at 800-332-2119 option 5 which i did. To make a long story short after several conversations with them they agreed to replace the part for free if I picked up the labor (Would have been less conversations if I had the original purchase receipt). Instead of $1500 I paid $250. The tv was only 3.5 years old. Perseverance paid off.

I have white spots and black spots on right side of Mitsubishi WD-C657. I've done research online, and have heard its the dlp chip. Is that true, and if so, is it something that I can replace myself,...

This tv is it the DLP projection light engine block main board itself is the problems, not easily to go into the tv itself and replacing the IC chip itself.Must take out many mechanical parts to get u the Light engine block it self.U can replaced IC but somethime the IC chip it replaced, will not solved the problems, because the tv problems now the it is spreading and going on beyond the IC chip itself. If want to keep this tv very exspensive repair,i would reconmend hire a bound qualify tv tech replaced the whole Light projection block itself, but first call Mitsubishi for some kind of deal, they might help with the repair amount cost.

Bright white spots on mitsubishi wd-73833 I just replaced the lamp and now these bright white spots have started to appear!

This unit uses a DLP (digital light processor) chip and if this starts to fail then you will get spots appearing on the screen. The DLP chip will need to be replaced.
