Depends on what setting it is on. But 150 sounds right on for a higher heat option.

Transmission bearing has failed. The transmission has to be replaced as a unit.
The transmissions are relatively inexpensive (around 150 to 175 dollars) I have replaced 3
of these and they are rather difficult.

Oven never gets to set temp.

This is the sign of a weak ignitor, even though it is glowing it has gotten weak and not letting enough current get to the valve to open.

You will need to have the ignitor replaced.

My electric dryer works but isn't heating. What is the problem?

The burning smell usually indicates an over-heating motor. It could also be lint on the heating element that is getting hot (very dangerous).

Either way, I would not use the dryer until you call a certified techinican. If it's lint on the element, he should only charge you for a service cost to clean out the lint. If he diagnoses a bad motor, then the motor is usually around $150 and labor $100.

You can sometimes find technicians that offer free estimates. I think that will be your best bet.

Best of luck and thanks for using

2007 F-150 A/C does not blow real cold air. Two separate dealers have told me that is as good as it gets. Is there a booster i can buy?

No booster you can buy, but you can bring it to a real a/c service shop other then the dealer. They can vacuum out the system and replace the accumulator (dryer) which will give it a better cooling performance. Good luck and hope this helps, the high side should be 200 to 300psi and the low side should be 25 to 35psi on a hot day like 85 degrees out side, and the cabin vent should be around 45 degrees.

Grill not getting hot, fire not around burners, knobs are so hot you can't touch them. not getting over 300 degrees, fire seems to be behind knobs

We assembled our new Genesis E-310 yesterday. Went together nicely, but won't heat above 350 or so. It should get to 500-550 degrees withing 10-15 mins. Any ideas of what could be wrong?

110V dryer doesn't heat past 107 degrees

Make sure the vent on the back of dryer is not blocked. Most dryers use 240 volts. Read the data plate on rear of dryer to confirm this. Example number 912.25879

  • Beneath Or Inside door Compartment On Cabinet Frame
  • On Plate Lower Front Or Rear Of Cabinet
  • Beside Door On Right End
  • Near Rear Of Cabinet
  • Inside Liner At Top
Let me know Thanks, Sea Breeze

Gas dryer work but doesn't get hot

Tell your natural gas company that you smell gas around your gas dryer and you think there may be a leak. They will send somebody out, at no cost to you to check on the appliance (gas dryer). When that person gets there, they will re-light your appliance and if the gas dryer needs a new thermal coupler, they will show you where it's at and how to replace it.

Hot enough?

To check dryer temperature, you will need a thermometer capable of measuring instantaneous temperature. Remove the exhaust hose and place the measuring device at the exhaust of the dryer with the dryer empty. The temperature should peak around 140-150 degrees Fahrenheit with a minimum around 120 to 130 degrees Fahrenheit.

LONG dry time is an indication of a clogged or restricted exhaust.Check the exhaust hose in the rear of the machine and make sure it isnot crushed or kinked. The vent pipe should be rigid metal not flexiblefoil or flexible plastic. If everything in rear looks OK, check theoutside vent hood for any blockages. If everything checks out, theexhaust system may need cleaning. Cleaning kits are available at most home improvement centers and at this website:

My dryer (Simpson Minimax 150) seems to be choked? It gets hot and the drum spins, but it doesn't dry clothes and upon opening the door, heaps of steamy air pours out. The lint filter is clean. Is there...

Probably the belt from the fan has broken. The fan is what moves the hot steamy air out of the unit.
