Question about Washing Machines

1 Answer

A signature kirkland washing machine that used to work 2 years ago has just been reconnected. the problem is that when the machine 1st starts filling up with water, the water starts emptying through the drain pipe. At present there is 2" of water in the machine that has not drained out, but any higher level of water appears to just drain out? Any suggestions?

Drain screen is plugged. Only the overflow is draining. Clean drain and drain screen and double-check the pump to make sure it is cleaned out.

If the program seems to stop in between , check and see if there is any circuit tripping or loose connection that can cause a connection failure and so trip the program to stop. If there is interruption the processor will shut off. so check this out.

Have Kirkland ''Signature'' washer that's maybe 5 years old. It does not agitate. Pulled the top cap off , (and then the inner seal), looked inside to see what was going on down there and AAAAAhhhhh! Dogs...

Hi, Just replace the dogs. Once you remove the 7/16" bolt, the agitator will seperate.
The dogs are the same part# on all models.

Please let me know if I can assist you further.

There could be 2 possible issues, one, the simplest is the switch activated by the lid, look for a plastic "prong" sticking out from the lid, see where it goes and find a switch, use sometime of similar size and see if you can activate it. If that is eliminated then it is a plastic coupling broken, quite involve, need to remove the back lower section and inspect for this, Had both these issues myself.
