My machine is just 5 months old and I am having intermittent problems when starting the machine. Although the power light is on the 'Wash' light fails to come on hence the programme fails to to start. Only by turning the slector knob to 1 and returning to 3 (my preferred programme) and pressing the Start/Stop button again will the machine operate. I have checked the salt and rinse aid levels and also that the upper basket is properly located in the machine (i.e. back as far as it will go). Since 24/4/08 there have been 7 occasions when this has occurred.
If your machine is only 5 months old it is still in warranty and you should go back to the shop you purchased it from and get them to send in a Service Engineer. It is not fit for purpose.

There will be something stuck inside the drain pump, You only have one issue, as it is only 2 months old opening it up to unblock may affect your warranty but it's not a problem covered by warranty so they will charge you to fix it, if you decide to try yourself you need to remove the kick panel and you will be able to see the drain pump, you need to unhook it and remove the blockage from it.
Your fault is not the normal complaint. Question is, "are you sure it doesn't just keep on running during the heating cycle"?. My thoughts are the heating element is possibly not functioning which will disrupt the continuing of the cycle.. Check element for a resistance reading,(approx. 23ohms). Check for a thermal cut out (sometimes a little reset button found on an item with wires attached). Press until click is heard.Retry. If all this heating does happen, then there is definitely an issue with the timer being it electronic or mechanical. Please let me know if not the solution. Thanks.
hi there.......your problem can occur when the sump of your apliance becomes flodded....this activates the anti flood switch which causes the drain pump to run....soloution is to dry out the sump or remove machine from its location...tilt it back letting excess water flow from the sump..check that all fixing screws in cabinet are secure including the air vent (mid way u the left/rt hand side of inner cabinet...
test appliance again if problem persists you will need to change the water flow meter
hi there.....when the machine brings water in...have you cancelled the program reselect a program and checked that it is puming out..if all is ok then you need to check that the main wash pump rotates freely....if all is ok here..then i suspect you have a failed capicator on the wash motor....little white cylinderical component on top of the motor
possibly due to water in the sump tray. tilt machine back at 45deg and see if water runs out. if it does and you get rid of the water that way, then the machine should operate. if it reoccurs, then you have a leak
I have the same problem dishwasher seems to try to wash but not get anywhere. have tried tipping dishwasher to empty excess water out, filters and arms cleaned. dishwasher just takes in water, hums for a bit and then the cycle ends after about 20 mins but obviously dishes are not clean
