Coffee grounds on filter

What I have been noticing is when I make coffee the filter, which should be dry, has wet coffee grounds on it. I was able to wipe the grounds and continue making coffee, even though I had not fixed the grinder, which was making all of the noise.

I cleaned and descaled the actual filter and thought everything should work fine. Unfortunately when I make a cup of coffee, even with the grinder fixed etc., now no coffee dispenses at all. Just the puck. I don't know if this has anything to do with the "O" ring. If it does, how do I remove the ring from the brew groupand put a new ring on?

I'm so sorry about taking up your time to try and answer my questions. Hopefully you may have a solution or advice.
