Question about Oreck XL2800 Bagged Upright Vacuum
If the motor is actually running and not picking anything up, I would believe it to be either a broken drive belt for the beater brush or the beater brush is frozen or both. Remove the beater brush and clean, paying special attention to the end pieces that hold it into the vacuum. If possible spray a little WD40 on them to be sure they turn freely on the brush. Also a good idea to replace the belt, but be sure it is installed correctly in order to have the brush move in the proper direction.
