Question about Toshiba Satellite A135 Notebook

1 Answer

DEAD?? I was working on my laptop (Toshiba A135-S4656) and it shut off now there is no sign of life. I pressed Fn then F5, nothing. I took out the battery and pluged it into the wall, nothing. I held the power button down for 10 seconds then waited 5 seconds and pushed it for 3 seconds, nothing. I flipped it over to see the ID number and heard ""tink tink" like plastic or medal inside falling? I have never dropped it, kicked it or otherwised moved it from it's position on my kitchen table! Please help I NEED the info I have saved on it!

Mouse pad cursor doesn't work

try using the FN key with the monitor/VGA output selection changer(usually F5). You will see a little icon that looks like two monitors. Mouse control may have been changed to the external monitor connection. See if pressing FN(function) and holding that key and then pressing the monitor key will bring back your mouse indicator. You may need to do it with the projector connected and on.

Toshiba Satellite P205D-S7438 won't boot

If your are just talking about getting the external display to work (meaning your laptops display works) they usually have a hotkey to switch screen such as FN (function key, usually where the windows key would be on desktop keyboards) + F5. Somewhere on your laptop you should see a picture of 2 monitors with a line between them on one of your keys hold FN and press that key and it should switch displays.
