I cant log in to msn live. it says it has an error code 81000306.

Error: 81000306 1. Make sure that you are connected to the Internet. Start Microsoft Internet Explorer, and then try to visit the following Web sites:
Messenger service status Microsoft web site If you cannot visit these sites, contact your Internet service provider (ISP) for information about how to set up your Internet connection so that you can visit both secure (https) and non-secure (http) sites. 2. If you are able to visit the Messenger service status page and notice that there is a service issue, please visit the site later to determine when the service is available so that you can sign into Messenger. If the site indicates that the all systems are stable and running, go to the next step.

3.b. On the Tools menu, click Options.
3.c. Click Connection in the left navigation pane.
3.d. Click Advanced Settings in the Connection Settings section.

4. If you are using Windows Vista, disable the Auto Tuning Networking feature: 4.a. Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, and then right-click Command Prompt and choose Run as administrator.
4.b. Click Continue when Windows requests permission to continue.
4.c. At the command prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER: netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled
Note: This command disables the Window Auto Tuning feature. 4.d. After you disable the Auto Tuning Networking feature, verify if you are able to sign into Messenger. 5. If you are still not able to sign into Messenger then please re-enable this feature using the information below and then go to the next step. 5.a. Re-enable the Auto Tuning Networking feature by typing the following command at the command prompt, and then pressing ENTER: netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal
Note: This command enables Window Auto Tuning again so that you can take advantage of the network throughput performance increase it provides.
6. If you are using Windows Vista and you also use a router (eg. Linksys, D-Link, Netgear) on your home network to connect to the internet please visit the router manufacturer’s website to update to the latest firmware for that product.

When i am on msn and want to put on webcam a message appears in a conversation saying Messenger is not available right now. Please try again later. (0x8ac70202)

This might be a compatibility problem between your webcam drivers with the new Windows Live Messenger program. You may want to:

1. Update your webcam drivers and see if Windows Live Messenger can detect it when you run the Audio Video setup from its Tools menu.

2. Or you can downgrade back to the older version of Windows Live Messenger which is compatible for your camera. Doing this however also requires that you uninstall all the Windows Live Beta products from your computer.

Note: You will not see a separate Windows Live Messenger on your Add/Remove programs, instead you will either see there Windows Live Beta products or Windows Live Essentials.

You can download the older versions of Windows Live Messenger from:

Windows Live Messenger 8.1:

Windows Live Messenger 8.5:

I cant sign into windows live messsenger and i can only get on to some websites for example i can get on to google but not the orange homepage and i can get on to facebook but not to myspace

I've found some people in a Messenger discussion group who seem to be having the same problem as you guys.
There was a fix posted that worked for all who had posted with the problem, so it may work for you too:

1. Hit "run" in the start menu
2. Type "regedit"
3. Open "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MSNMessenger"
4. Delete the folder called MSN Messenger
5. After this MSN Messenger Live will login as normal.

Windows Media Center comes up with Windows Messenger failure, though Messenger is installed and running. This seems to cause the program Guide to be Not Available. Norman

Click Start>Run then copy this text into the run box and click OK:

RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

This will uninstall Windows messenger 4.7 from your machine.
This is Windows messenger and not MSN messenger, Windows messenger comes bundled with all versions of XP and is meant for LAN messenging (your personal network in your home or office, if you have one)

Cant log in windows live messenger - they says Error code 81000395

as refer to MSN error code,
You may not be able to sign in because you entered the wrong e-mail address. Re-enter your credentials and try to sign in to Messenger again.

If you sure you are enter correct username & password, second thing to check is your connectivity. In Windows Live Messenger,
  1. Click the Tools menu, and then click Options.
  2. In the left pane, click Connection.
  3. Click Refresh to freshen your display and view current information, such as signal strength, account name, and connection type. — or —
  4. To run the Connection Troubleshooter, click Start and the troubleshooter will run an analysis of your system and connection settings (Settings associated with your Internet connection.) . If you're using an 802.11b wireless card, the Connection Troubleshooter may indicate that you have a wired connection.
  5. Click Finish.
To test your connection settings:
  1. Click the Tools menu, and then click Options.
  2. Under Connection, click Advanced Settings.
  3. Click Test to run several tests on your connections.
  4. If you'd like to save a log of your server connections, select the Save a log of my server connections to help troubleshoot connection problems check box.
