Question about Facebook Social Network

1 Answer

I have facebook on my laptop, home pc and telephone. All of the sudden last night , when i opened my facebook on my pc, the profile and newsfeed are blank (ONLY on my pc)... i went to my laptop and was able to see everything as normal. The only think i did yesterday that could have caused this problem was clear my internet history/cookies while i was on facebook. I get the feeling that maybe it is something related to my internet explorer maybe, however, all other websites open just fine on the PC... just not facebook's profile and newsfeed. Can someone please help me!? thanks- julie

If you have cleared cookies and this happened only on facebook, try re-installing Internet explore, mozilla firefox or any browser you may have been using, This sometimes happen specially when you have recently viewed a website then cleared cache and cookies, sometimes (with OS conflicts) the last site or all sites tend to be like that, not displaying or any other errors, you could also try registry fixes, wherein they would be free(some of them), just choose among them, search for registry fix at google.

No problem, by the way if I may suggest try auslogics boostspeed, just google that out, and they have trial, or even better buy the software, I have a very good experience on that software regarding repairs like these.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Facebook does not allow my newsfeeds to come in on ipad you see blurry in back ground and cant open my messages on facebook

  1. First of all, you must have messenger app to open your messages
  2. try closing the app, restarting your ipad & re-open the FB app again.
  3. Uninstall app & install a clean version again
  4. if above didn't work; you can use safari to open your FB account as if you are opening it from a desktop/laptop

My facebook account has completely disappeared?

FACEBOOK ACCT HAS COMPLETELY DISAPPEARED-

Maybe this will help... it is long, yet seems to have work. I got this info (cut and paste) off "Creative Cloth" (creative-cloth.com), posted by LindaM. She also has a FB page. Check it out if you sew. Gotta give credit where it is due.

Here it is...

The Fix
Although it's not very obvious, they do provide you with a way to resolve this problem so that every one of the pages that you "like" will show up in your newsfeed. I sort of found the solution being discussed here, but I've streamlined the process a little better for easier reference.

So let's go ...
Sign into your Facebook account and click "Home" which takes you to your newsfeed.
On the left hand side of the page scroll down until you see "Interests". Click "Add Interests"
When the new page opens up, click "Create List"
Which opens a popup page showing all the pages that you currently "like". Click on each of the thumbnail images which adds a checkmark. When you have selected all the thumbnails, click on "Next".
Which opens the "Create a New List" page. Give your list a name - I've called mine "My List". Check "Who can see this list" - I've set it so that only I can see it. Click "Done".
Once again click on "Home" to go to your newsfeed page. Scroll down and on the left hand side you'll see the new "My List" link located under "Interests". Click on it and you'll now see *all* of your "liked" pages back on your newsfeed. That's it!

You can also use this same process to create as many different lists as you like and use them to view different types of information that can be grouped together.

Just remember
Every time you check your newsfeed you will need to click on this list. And when you add new page "likes" to your newsfeed, make sure you add them to your new list - once you click the "like" button, a little popup will automatically appear and you can then add it to your personal list.

LindaM. did the work... I just wanted to pass it along to you.
Hope that will help you in some way. Have a good day.

How can i get rid of a facebook connection to a tv show?

Go to www.facebook.com
Login as usual
at the top of your browser window containing facebook.com, there will be
Home, Profile and Account
If its an application:
Left click account, choose application settings from the list of given options.
Find the errant Tv application and press the x to remove it.
If its a news feed: (Typically if you have something in your profile, eg you've told facebook in your profile that you like the show Friends and you now get spammed with Friends updates, a little harder but here we go..)

Beside every newsfeed item there is the option to hide it, click Hide to not show items from that particular entity anymore.
If at a later stage you want them back then using the "Edit Options at the bottom of your news feed page will allow you to add them back in"

If you totally want to remove an item like this Tv show then you would goto your profile and edit your interests and likes.
Delete the offending entry to have it never come back, or from your profile page can you drag the item just below where it is listed where it says "Drag here to hide" this will achieve the same effect as the original method, but allows you to edit more items faster.

Hope this helps

When I log onto facebook, it automatically comes up to a page titled "News feed". I think this should be my "Wall"? Once I leave the "News feed" page I never see it again?

When you log in Facebook will automatically go to newsfeed. If you want to see your Wall go to the upper right hand corner and click Profile. When you want to go back to the newsfeed go to the same upper right hand corner and click on Home.

My pic's or comment's do not show up on the home page newsfeed

Ive noticed not everything show's up on facebook, mostly its the comments you write and pictures you put up they show up on other people's home page instead of yours.
And the ''what you doing right now'' shows up all the time on the profile page and the ''home'' page.

hope this helps..
