I have tried absolutely everything and I still cannot get rid of the ventilation message on my machine. I have tried running hot water through the steam wand, I have tried restoring the factory settings etc and the problem still remains. The ventation message eventually goes away and then I try and grind another cup of coffee, no coffee comes out and the Ventilatin message comes back.

Can anyone suggest anything something else?

Could there be something major wrong with the machine?

Ventilation consistently reoccurs after making 2-3 shots. I have done the reset the machine drill, with no long term success. The only thing I can do is shut off the machine 5 -10 minutes and then restart and go through the hot water through the steam wand process to get the "Ventilate" signal to turn off. The process starts all over again. Any new advice would be greatly appreciated

    Very Frustrating

We just got a new gaggia titanium and the ventilate message will not go off ... on the phone with my technician yesterday and he suggested just turning the nob on and off until the water started coming out -- it worked then, but is not working now!! Ugh! I have coffee cooling as we speak with no foam. I can't imagine that I have to replace the water counter as suggested as we've only had the machine for a week.

Ventilate message comes up: I have had my Titanium only 2 months and it has been in for service three times now. I have had it! This machine make great coffee when it works but breaks down more often than an old Fiat...........

Hi,

It´s probably the flow meter in the machine you have to replace, it´s like a water counter, if it not reach the right value then it not reset the ventilate sign.

Make sure to descale your machine regularly, the calcium is a very big problem for the machine.

Keep getting ventilate message - won't ventilate and cannot operate steam or grinder w/ ventilate message

Try this run the hot water cycle for a few seconds, it that works, try steaming if you get the message again clear it by running the hot water cycle and then go to steaming, this time push in on the knob after you open it, it that works, then the tap rod or the valve assembly needs to be replaced.

How do you correct and clear the ventilate message on a Saeco Incanto Classic Espresso Machine

A tech just walked me thru one fix. If it is stuck on ventilate it could be just because the value is stuck. He instructed, quickly open the value. As soon as it makes the "hum" pull off the silver knob and push hard on the beige button as if you are pushing it to the other side of the machine. For me this worked!

Machine Is Stuck on "VENTILATE" Command

Sounds like you all have the same problem. Your flow meter has been obstructed with a small chip of coffee bean that got into your water tank receptacle when your tank was off. You need to remove the top or back depending on your machine and remove the flow meter. It twist apart. The intake is a small opening and that is creates the jet of water that spins the flow meter. If it gets obstructed the meter doesn't spin and you will get the ventilate message.

I am getting an error message that says VENTILATE

Try draining the machine. Page 37 of the user manual, Drainage. Place cup under the steam/hot water tube, turn knob clockwise around to 9. If the pump is ok, it will start automatically and start filling the cup. Drain about 1/2 cup of hot water and return knob counterclockwise to start position. If the flow meter is not damaged, the Ventilate message should be gone.

Ventilate

I fixed my ventilate problem! After 2 days of utter frustration and pushing many buttons, I read another guest comment about resetting to factory settings. Push the up button under the small coffee icon. It should say factory setting with the asterick next to it. Push OK. Then push "yes" for factory settings. Then my machine started working again! Hallelujah! It erased my personal coffee cup setting, but who cares.

Big thanks to the person who posted their solution on Dec. 2007.
