Question about Pentax K10D Body Only Digital Camera
SOURCE: cracked lcd
In most cases the LCD is slightly different on most models of cameras. If there are only slight differences between models in the same line such as the megapixel rating or the internal memory the part may cross over. Models of the same camera from different production years also usually cross. I would say that VERY rarely does an LCD part cross over between model lines. Search online for a camera repair facility, you may be able to find one who would be willing to sell you the part. Be forewarned that replaceing the LCD is not always a straight forward process and there is always a chance of harming the camera in other ways while you try to fix it. This is one of those things that just cant be fixed on the kitchen table on a sunday afternoon, sorry. The mechanics and electronics are so precise and small it is one of those things that is just not recommended. You can take it to any reputable camera dealer and they can arrange the shipping and repair, it will need to go back to Pentax. The up side is they will clean and adjust anything they can before it is returned to you.
