Question about Altec Lansing VS2121 Computer Speakers
Speakers such as these are analogue devices. They do nor require a driver. If an analogue signal say from an iPod works them, they will work with any suitable analogue signal(like from a headphone socket)
The problem seems to be no analogue signal from your laptop.
Look at answers for no sound signal output from sound card.
Have seen some good problem solving technique by others.
Check the sound card set up, software and hardware volume control not set to zero etc
