You have to hit hard from the back side of the bolt in such a way the locking nut will stand still.Mostly in your case it has been stuck and the rim rounding is damaged.Mount bolt put some WD-40 oil and screw it out.

post a comment for further assistance.

Camshaft & Crankshaft Timing Marks On
1995-97 Kia 2.0L VIN 1 Engines

The AERA Technical Department offers the following information regarding camshaft and crankshaft timing for 1995-97 Kia 2.0L VIN 1 engines. The camshaft sprocket/pulley for this engine has four markings that may be considered for cam/crank timing. Only one of those markings is correct.

This cam sprocket Part # 0K97212425 has multiple markings to allow use in more than one engine. The correct marking for this engine is the #2 as shown in Figure 1 below.
If the sprocket was removed from the camshaft for correct installation note the 12? o?clock positioning of the cam dowel pin. To secure the sprocket on the cam, hold the cam in position with the use of a nut driver and tighten the lock bolt to 42 ft/lbs (56 Nm) as shown in Figures 2 & 3 below.

How do I remove the alternator on my 1998 Dodge 1500 4wd?

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable at battery. Diesel Engines: Disconnect both negative battery cables at both batteries.
  2. Remove generator drive belt.
  3. dak408_183.gif

  1. Remove generator pivot and mounting bolts/nut. The diesel engine uses a bolt at top mounting and a bolt/nut at lower mounting. Position generator for access to wire connectors.
  1. Remove nuts from harness holddown, battery terminal, ground terminal and 2 field terminals. Remove wire connectors. A typical generator wiring harness is shown in. Wiring harness routing as shown may be slightly different depending on vehicle model and/or engine.
  2. Remove generator from vehicle.
  1. Position generator to engine and install wiring to rear of generator. Tighten all wiring fasteners as follows:
    • Battery terminal nut-8.5 N.m (75 in. lbs.)
    • Ground terminal nut-8.5 N.m (75 in.lbs.)
    • Harness holddown nut-8.5 N.m (75 in. lbs.)
    • Field terminal nuts-2.8 N.m (25 in. lbs.)
  1. Install generator mounting fasteners and tighten as follows:
    • Generator mounting bolt-All gas powered engines-41 N.m (30 ft. lbs.)
    • Generator pivot bolt/nut-All gas powered engines-41 N.m (30 ft. lbs.)
    • Generator mounting bolt-Diesel powered engines-54 N.m (40 ft. lbs.)
    • Generator pivot bolt/nut-Diesel powered engines-54 N.m (40 ft. lbs.)

  • Never force a belt over a pulley rim using a screwdriver. The synthetic fiber of the belt can be damaged.
  • When installing a serpentine accessory drive belt, the belt MUST be routed correctly. The water pump will be rotating in the wrong direction if the belt is installed incorrectly, causing the engine to overheat.
  1. Install generator drive belt.
  2. Install negative battery cable(s) to battery(s).

I did this myself before:

Removing the Door Panel

The first thing to do is remove the tab in your door handle that covers the screw (using the flat head screw driver), which secures the handle and window/lock switches to the door panel. Using the Phillips head screw driver, remove the screw. Now, remove the door handle and locate the tabs securing the wire harness for the door locks & power windows. Using the flat head, push down on the tabs and pull the male end out of the wire harness with your other hand. You can now locate 2 of the 3 bolts/screws that secure the door panel to the door.Using the 10mm socket, 3′ extension, and the 1/4′ drive socket wrench – remove the bolts/screws. Located behind the interior door handle is a plastic covering with a hole cut in it, that goes around the rubber piece that is there to stop the handle.Use the flat head screw driver to remove that plastic piece. Behind that piece, you will find the 3rd and final bolt/screw that secures the door panel. Using the 10mm socket, 3′ extension, and 1/4′ drive socket wrench, remove the bolt/screw. At this point you can pull the door panel off by hand. There are only tabs holding it on now, and they all will pop off. Now on the inside of the panel, you will need to locate the backside of the interior door handle. Remove the cables that operate the door lock, and opening mechanism. No tools are required for this step. Now you have the metal door panel, which is secured by 11-12 bolts/screws around the boarder of the panel.Locate the wire harness for the window motor in the upper right corner of the metal door panel. Using the flat head screw driver, disconnect the wire harness. After removing the panel, you will need to push the rubber grommet through the panel – the wire is attached to it. There will also be two white tabs on the backside of the panel that secure the female end of the window motor wire harness to the panel. Using your fingers (or pliers) pinch them, to remove the harness.

At this point, you can remove the 11 – 12 bolts/screws that are holding the panel to the door. The panel will not fully remove, but will come off a little bit. Now for the gold colored bolts/screws and nuts.Three of the bolts/screws are what secure the window motor to the panel. The other two bolts/screws, and the 2 nuts hold the brackets that hold the glass in place.there is one of these bolts/screws, and one of these nuts on each bracket (on each side). Using the 10mm socket, remove all of the bolts/screws.The Nuts are a 12mm socket; remove them as well. The panel should now come off, and the motor & guts of the door, will be revealed.

I need to find out how to remove the alternator from my 2002 Kia Spectra

The steps to replace an alternator are:
  1. Do the following through the passenger side of the engine bay of course with the hood up.
  2. First and most important is to disconnect the negative connection to the battery (driver side).
  3. Using a 12mm socket loosen the tension adjusting screw and bracket screw. Using a 10mm socket or open end remove wirings. Pinched other connector to remove.
  4. Using 14mm socket with 3/8 drive ratchet remove the big bolt on the lower side of the alternator.
  5. You might need some help from a pipe for extra leverage.
  6. Remove all parts that will hinder the removal of the alternator. For example the charcoal cannister on the firewall just slide up.
  7. Ease the alternator through the opening by turning the alternator untile it can pass through the opening.
