How do I make my printer stop printing a test page at power up?
I
have an HP All-in-One model PSC 1350 connected to a PC - Windows XP. Since I inserted a new ink
cartridge, it started printing an unwanted test page whenever I turn it
on.

HP "series" numbering can be somewhat confusing, but Windows 7 does have the correct driver for your printer. For the HP PSC 1350, you will need to use the 1300 series driver.
The 1310 series driver is for models numbered 131x (e.g., 1315, 1318).
HP PSC 2210 Printer is compatible with windows 7 operating system. You need to install the windows 7 compatible drivers from this link selecting your operating system.
i have this printer, what you have to do is when you power it up, wait and listen until the printer grabs the paper to do the test print, then quickly press the CANCEL button once, the paper will pass through the printer but not print, then just put the paper back in the feed tray and start your day with a smile. The cancel button is on the left hand side underneath the power button. The printer prints a test page when you change ink cartridge as well by the way.
Take the test page ( also called : alighnment page ) that
always prints when you switch on the printer and place it face down in
the scanner.
Then press the scan button on the printer itself. (this is the button at the bottom of all the buttons on the printer/scanner.)
Make sure that the printer scans the test page. ( sometimes you press the butoon and it doesn't scan ) ( it makes a scanning noise when scanning succesfully )
Then it will stop printing the test page ( alignment page ) ever again.
Hi Jay, This is mike, actually the problem is that that printer has not completed the aligning process, as a result the printer is printing the test page (Alignment page) every time when you turn it ON. So, I would suggest you to let the printer prints the alignment page and check whether the printer prints the page with all colors and it printed fine, once it is done, disconnect the USB cable behind the printer and then place the alignment page on the scanner glass by facing down the printed page downwards and press the scan button. This start the alignment process and the scanning process will be completed once the ON light is stop blinking. This will complete the alignment process.
Once done try to turn off and turn on the printer and check for the result. This should resolve the issue.
However, if the issue persist, then please revert back to me. Be sure that you use the HP genuine ink cartridges, not refilled nor re-manufacture.
