Error message e6. Needle won't move

Check your owner's manual - troubleshooting section. Sometimes it will show the error codes. Otherwise, search the internet for:

Make + Model + "error code E6"

You can also check with the manufacturer.

I had sewing machines E6 computer bother a few yeas . Now I sewing , it turn E6 . what does E6 mean? Can you help me . How to fix it? Thank you.

Download a free manual from www.brother-usa.com and under support and put in your model number. E6, means that the thread is tangled, totally unthread it, now with the presser foot up, rethread, pull the top thread, now lower the presser foot and pull the thread, it should barely move. This will seat the thread in the tension discs. Read your manual before using, it will save you lots of grief. People love to skip this step, and wonder why the machine is not working right. This is one time you should take the time, it is worth it.

Brother sewing machine screen displays E6

E6 is an error code. You didn't state the model number, but if you look in your instruction manual, it will list the error codes. If you don't have a manual, go to Brother.com and you can get the answer.

Ce5000prw recieving f5/e6 error message

I know this probably won't do you much good as it is now nearly 3 years after you posted your problem. However, I just had the same problem after using my machine for 4 years and couldn't find any solutions or answers anywhere, even from Brother, so I figured I'd post an answer in the event someone else has this problem. My local repair center wanted to charge $100 to even look at it since it is a computerized machine and Brother said the F5 code was not a good thing and I really needed to have it checked by an authorized dealer. You can get this machine brand new for $150 so I didn't see the point in spending the money to fix it.

I finally decided to open the hard case and see if anything was up. Yes, this voids the warranty but what good was the warranty going to do me anyway when I could replace it for less than any repairs would cost. When i opened the hard case, I discovered over 40 glass head straight pins scattered everywhere. I have a 3 y/o son who apparently thought dropping the pins through the holes on the top great fun, lol. I removed all the pins and used canned air to clean out all the dust bunnies, put it back together and was back in business in about an hour. The machine sounds great and doesn't skip a stitch!

Are you using the right size needle? Try using an 80. Also try taking it to a service center. To find one near you go here: http://www.brother-usa.com/service/

Will not run

I had the same problem with my machine, there is nothing you personally can do to fix it. You'll have to find a service tech who can work on it to solve the problem.
