Does not wash off lipstick, peanut butter, mayonaise, have done every cycle, finally did the power scrub cycle

I`ll start by saying the single most important factor in any dishwasher cleaning properly/effectively is the heating cycle.

That being said, my first suspicion is the unit isn`t heating sufficiently.

Here`s what you may be able to do to confirm or dismiss this though...

You`ll need to run a diagnostic program and need an ammeter.

**If you are not capable or have any reservations to doing this, I`d recommend calling in an authorized (B/S/H/ ) Bosch service technician**

SHI/U 68— MODELS

To begin the test program, press the SCRUB WASH and DELICATE/ECONO buttons both in at the same time as you turn the unit on by pressing the ON/OFF button.

The version number of the circuit board will appear in the display, 20, 21, etc.

When released the LED’s for the two programs will begin flashing.

The check each LED press the corresponding program button.

To check the countdown display and refill rinse aid LED
press the REGULAR WASH button.

To start the test program, press the SCRUB WASH and DELICATE/ECONO buttons both in a second time.

When the test program is complete, the countdown display will indicate a fault or combination of faults using the following
codes.

If a combination of faults exists, the code numbers are added together. (6 = faults 2 + 4).

0 = No Faults
1 = Aqua Sensor Fault
2 = Heating Fault
4 = Filling Fault
8 = NTC Fault

**During the test, with the door panel removed place an ammeter on the gray/black wire it should draw 11 amps during the wash cycle...after it fills and the flow switch indicates it has adequate water to engage the heater**

i.e.


If it doesn`t draw any amps. let me know. It is likely an issue with the control that can be repaired fairly easily.


Again though, If you do not feel comfortable attempting this service, call a local pro, preferably one familiar with Bosch/Thermador/Gaggenau/Siemens, to service your machine.
