If you have the manufacturer name a model number and serial number . You can usually find a web sight on line for that manufacturer. Go to the sight, find a contact phone number, call them and explain your problem. Most times they will either give you a web address that will have the information your looking for or they will send you a copy of such information.
When ever in doubt go to the source.
The Manufacturer name and model should be on a tag somewhere on the front of the unit. It could be under the cover though.

How to program ONN (code?) urc with Motorola sat box

If you want the Motorola remote to control the TV or another device, then you should be looking at the instructions for the Motorola satellite box. You'll find a list of codes in the back of the book for the TV brands it supports.

If the code for your particular TV or other device isn't listed then there's a way to use the remote to search its entire code base. This can sometimes provide the answer where a certain TV chassis is sold under several different brands.

If you wish to buy its original remote control, you have to contact the authorized service center. If you wish to buy a universal remote control, you should know about, which brand remote control have setup code to your TV/device brand. You should first make sure about the number of digits in the codes to your device have. There are 3-digit, 4-digit, 5-digit and even 2-digit codes. You can get this detail by the code list attached to every universal remote control. The brand name of the remote control you select isn't a matter; but, its code list should have setup codes to your TV/device brand, otherwise you can't set it up with your device. Check this link and note which brand remote control have set-up codes to your device brand, and buy that brand remote control, according to availability. Is there a universal remote control that will work with Westinghouse LTV-20V2SL?

Universal remotes are cheaper, but those codes u enter for any tvs any models might work might not. No,not any univeral remotes have any particular tvs brands, just a list of a universal codes for the tvs brands it covers.Try website like Remotes.com to buy a remote same as ur original remote.Than u don't care about codes or taking chances of those codes, will or will not work for ur tv.

The amplifier was put to mute on using the remote control then the remote control was broken and cannot use anymore. How can I return back the amplifier to normal without using the remote control?

Two suggestions.

1) You may be able to reset the memory and get back to factory default settings by either unplugging from the power point and leaving it unpowered for at least 5 minutes - some products could require a few hours for memory to be reset. Alternatively your amplifier may have a reset funtion (usually a button or switch on the rear panel - see owners manual for specific instructions of your model)

2) Since your remote is broken, the cheapest option is generally to buy a universal remote control (available from may discount and electrical retailers) for around $10.00 enter the code for your particular amplifier and then use the amp as you did previously - you might like to double check that your brand/model is supported by that particular brand remote manufacturer - the better ones (read dearer) even allow you to down load the remote codes from the web (this would be overkill for your problem, but you might like to combine all your remotes into the new tricky one you will buy).

I need codes for my hitachi vcr

Check out http://www.remotecentral.com and look for your remote and your TV, the code is for the TV but is geared to work with your particular remote, so look under your brand of remote and then find the code for your particular TV or vice versa. They should also have the instructions on how to set the code into your remote and you may find a manual there too.

Liftmaster Professional and Clicker Programming Problems

The Security+ system is a rolling code system and is digital, so it will work with the Homelink in vehicles and with the remote control units that come with the opener. Also with new remotes that are purchased specifically for that opener. Your "clickers" require specific instructions and you need to use the Smart Learn function in order to use them with this opener. In addition, check the Brand Switch settings to be sure they apply to your opener, and the correct Smart Button color on the opener. Read carefully to determine whether you need to set ANY dip switches at all or can you just set them all to off depending on your opener? Check the instructions carefully. Here's a link to the page where you can download a copy of the Clicker instructions if you don't already have it:

Double image, fuzzy picture

The problem was caused by poor projector alignment. Alignment was off because we recently moved the TV from a friends house.
This particular set allowed me to realign the projectors with the remote control from a setting in the TV's menu. It was as simple as opening the menu item then aligning the cross-hairs with the remotes cursor. There are 3 projectors, one for each color. One is fixed and the other two are movable. They need to be perfectly aimed in order to get a clear, properly colored image.
When you find yourself with an electronic device and no operators manual it pays to spend the time and effort to download it from the internet.

Problem solved, thanks
C L Ganske.
