Frozen screen on slvania netbook

Insert a paper clip into the hole on the bottom of the netbook if the device seems to be frozen. The hole is next to the battery cover. The system uses solid state memory rather than a hard drive, so the netbook should restart rapidly.

These Sylvania products have been giving people nothing but headaches since they were introduced last fall.

My Sylvania 7" netbook shows

Do you have a password on your network, that's what it looks like it wants. But you can also have some spyware. I would run your virus program and any anti-spyware programs you have. You can also go on to internet explorer and go to tools then internet options then click on the advanced tab and click on reset. If you can try to install Malwarebytes it is a free program that removes spyware. Please let me know if this helped, thanks for using FixYa

Netbook will charge but will not turn on. I tried the reset button but still nothing. the screen stays black, nothing lights up

Take the battery out and leave the machine hooked up to your AC power ,and try it again. Your battery may be discharged to the point that it will not safely charge up. Li-ion batteries do this to prevent them from charging too fast and causing a fire. It is a safety feature.
