There is a paper sensor that works when the new sheet is to be pulled in. Please clean the area just below the lower roller and also the rollers, both upper and lower with a moist (not wet) soft cloth or tissue.

Doesn't pick up[ paper

Possible that the intake detect or the pick in rollers are not aligned properly . You need to check the opto-couplers and the roller settings.Remove and check with a paper to see the uniformity of the gap between the rollers.

Paper didnot pull or paper jam

I had success on a canon printer by taking a can of air and blowing out the paper receiving area. It started picking up paper and no longer saying there was a jam. I think I must have had dust or a piece of paper blocking sensor.

How tha cheng samsung ml 1610 pickup rollor

Hello,

maybe you mean How to change paper pickup roller?

If YES - follow this simple steps:

  1. Open front cover
  2. Remove toner cartridge
  3. Look for two plastic pins (left and right side of the roller) on top.
  4. You have to use flat screwdriver to unlock this pins but be careful to avoid any damage on it.
  5. The trick is to unpin left and right pins at the same time.
  6. To turn back this roller you have to put first bottom pins then press the roller up until you hear a sound as click.

Warning:

Be careful with tire direction, if you turn it with wrong direction printer does not pick up the paper!!!

Good luck!!!

Paper not getting inside the samsung Mono laser printer ML-1610

The paper pick up fingers and rollers get smooth and polished with use and then slide on the paper. Clean the rollers and pick mechanisms with isopropyl alcohol to rejuvenate them and restore their grip on the paper. Do this as far along the paper path as you can get, using Q Tips where necessary and turn the rollers to clean their whole surfaces.

My samsung ml-1610 printer always getting paper jam on print job. Is this problem related to fuser or something else? please help me...

There are a series of rollers which are made of rubber in the unit. When these rollers become dry or covered with dust (usually from cheap paper) they arent able to pick up paper correctly any longer.

Think of it as though you are trying to turn a page, and you have to lick your finger to do so.

Its the same concept. When your printer grabs the paper, it cannot hold it while it is rolling it through the printer.

There are kits available through your manufacturer or a local print shop which can clean your printer and help to restore it to its working order.

Hope this helps!

Why the printer is taking more papers at a time and gets jammed. I am using 75 GSM paper

This is caused usually by dirty or faulty/worn out rubber paper pick roller. Try gently cleaning it with damp soft lint-free cloth. Moreover, it is better to use 80GMS paper.

Hope this helps!

The paper has jammed in my ML-1610 printer.

The paper jams mostly, because the rubber band that feeds the paper to the printer is broken/split. Check the rubber band. It's located within the plastic wheel that feeds the paper.
