I have just baught a second hand belling double oven cooker, we have switched it on and the timer is constantly buzzing! And the top oven and grill don't work! Any ideas on wot could b wrong?

The timer has been set and the cooking time is finished. That is why it is buzzing and the oven is in a turned off state. You need to acknowledge the cooking time finished, and set the oven back to Manual operation from Automatic. In the old days you pressed one of the buttons by the clock that was used to set. I used to have a Belling Double Oven in the UK, but I can't remember about the timer.

Most likely if a buzzing or similar sound that is there even with set off--you have a noise coming from a transformer in the standby power supply which is running all the time if the set is plugged in----

Someone would have to open set and listen for it---either a part, a board, or hot glue would have to be used to mute the vibration that is making the sound----one way we locate is with cover off probe with a plastic tool to see where it is.

If you are not able to do this have a tech or a shop "look" for it.

that buzzing click in the back is the timer problem.the timer is trying to rotate but it is not able to rotate.as the spinning part of the timer which moves is got worn out or getting blocked by rust or dust.the cost of new timer is not more then $50. its available at www.repairclinic.com or at www.partselect.com thanks.

Humming/buzzing sound

We usually find this is the cabinet back rattling. To confirm, when this happens turn the volume on the set all the way down and see if the problem is still there. If it is still there the put your hand on the back of the tv and gently press to see if the buzzing goes away. If the sound does go away the cure is to loosen all of the back cabinet screws around the edges of the set and gently push on the back as you tighten the screw. tighten the screw in an order much like you would tighten the lug nuts on a tire. in other words thighten the top left screw, then the bottom right screw and kepp alternating as yougo around the dabinet back untill they are all tight.

Buzzzzzzz

Hello to all you buzzers, I have the answer to your problem. First this is what's happening. The buzzing is coming from the power relay. It vibrates at 60hz because the power supply filter capacitor is not doing its job hence you have a rough d.c. pulse going to the relay. To solve the problem remove back of t.v. slide circuit board out (you will have to disconnect white wire from degauss coil, located on left front) look for a blue box approximately 3/4"x1 1/2" this will be the power relay. Now look for capacitor location #c622 near the relay. This capacitor should be 470uf 25v. Remove and replace with 470uf 35v capacitor, connect white degauss wire temperarily put back on and give it a spin. Hope this solves all the buzzin, robert
