How do I turn off the timer on my gaffers & sattler wall oven?

Try rebooting the oven; unplug it for 90 seconds, or flip the circuit breaker off for 90 seconds, then back on.

Thermostat broken

Good Morning a_t_pearson, this is Z. Thank you for your post! I understand that the thermostat is broken on your top Frigidaire oven; therefore I'm assuming that you have a double-wall oven. If so, please help me understand what you are referring to by thermostat? Is your oven not preheating or reaching desire temperature? Are you speaking about the bake and/or broil elements not heating? May I please have your model number? The serial tag, which lists your model number, is typically located on the front of the oven, on the left side, as you open the door. With this information I can better address the issue at hand. Thank you!

I have a 1965 gaffers & sattler wall oven with the oven on the top and the broiler on the bottom. It began having issues lighting even though the pilot light was on. Now the burner doesn't light up at...

My Mom has a 1965 Gaffler & Stattler Mark 21 wall mount oven, it had the "Same Problem", People may tell you that the flame switch is no longer avalible but I found a universal fit flame switch at Applance Parts Center, I took the old part in and had it matched up, with a minor modification to the thermal sensor mounting bracket, "drilling a larger hole and lightly crimping it", it's a perfect fit, "problem solved". You may want to try cleaning the pilot light area with a small wire brush first, if that dosn't work try a jumper wire on the two terminals of the flame switch, if that works then replace the flame switch.
This operation can be done without removing the oven from the wall mount, just remove the two screws from the panel at the inside rear of the broiler, you will find the flame switch behind the panel it has two screws two wires a thermo leed and a sensor tip that goes up to the thermo sensor mounting bracket above the pilot light, the thermo sensor mounting bracket has one screw and a nut behind it, you will also need to remove one end of the 1/4" pilot gas pipe in order to remove the thermo sensor mounting bracket, When your done puting it back togather, check for gas leaks using soapy water in a spray bottle, a dish soap solution works great, also check your vent pipe connections.
After I cleaned the dust and grease out of this old thing, the 45 year old clock and timer started working again.
My Mom is very happy, try and find new oven to fit the cutout and vent, we saved a lot of $$$,
"Good Luck".

When I turn on my oven it come on full blast

good luck finding someone that knows about your oven.
if you can remove the wire to the broil element you might get a few more years out of this oven.
it probably has a burnt contact, stuck, in the broil circuit. it most likely wont be available to replace so you will have to replace the whole unit or remove the wire.
when you find this out you will probably have to do cabinet remodeling to make a new oven fit.
try the wire trick and then prepare to replace the unit soon.
