Cd not loading /ejecting (by 2 users)

cd is stuck in the slot neither loading nor ejecting . however the load/eject gears are working but unable to push cd in/out of player sufficiently

Player tunrtable works, door opens, but discs do no load properly into the player assembly. A few discs will load and play, but most fail to get pladed on the spindle, are placed off-center and wobble, etc. Is it possible to replace the entire player assembly, or is there a simpler solution?
