I had the same problem and this is what I did to fix it.
Go to control panel
look to left and find scanners and cameras
a pop up should direct you to scanning options and will lead your scanner to scan the item

Follow these directions from HP Support:
If this doesn't work, follow the shut down procedure, then open the cover and see if the carriage is locked by trying to gently push it to your right. It shouldn't move. If it does move, push it all the way to the right, then start the printer up again following the directions.
If you still have a failure, check the supplies to see if they feel like they all have ink in them. If your printer is trying to cycle ink from a supply to the printhead, and the supply is empty, you will get an ink system failure. Buying new supplies to check for this problem is expensive, especially if it turns out not to be the cause, but it also may fix the problem. Your call.
I have seen this issue before and it usually can be fixed quite easily by someone who knows their way around this printer, so a repair tech should be able to fix it if your efforts don't.

Mine has done the same thing.
To fix this you have to reinstall the software, then reboot your computer.
I did that, and the printer alignment function worked fine for a while, then I started getting the same problem again, possibly after I had installed other software not related to the printer -- I don't really know.
In any event, it's doing the same thing again, so I just "cancel" the alignment and continue to use the printer. My prints are fine.

I found this I know your error not in here but it may work for
It worth a try nothing to lose and it may work.
I know your error code is not in this but it some times it clean the error with this type of error number you can gave it a go try not harm it
Error code: 0xc18a0201, 0xc18a0206, 0xc18a0306, 0xc18a030a, 0xd0620130, 0x887dd03a, 0xd05d010d, 0xf0af8004, 0xc19ac3ff, 0xc18a050...
Reset the product:
1. Without turning off the product, disconnect the USB cable from the rear of the product.
2. Remove the cartridges from the product.
3. Wait for the 'Insert Cartridges ' message to display on the control panel.
4. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the product.
5. Wait 60 seconds.
6. Reconnect the power cord. If the product does not automatically turn on, press the Power button ( ).
7. Reinsert the cartridges, and then close any open doors on the product.
8. If you receive a prompt to print a calibration page, do so.
9. Reconnect the USB cable to the rear of the product, and then try printing again.
