Question about Sony DCR-HC54E Mini DV Camcorder
This is most likely an issue with the flex cable that runs from the LCD to the main PCB. These flex cables are very fragile and will break over time. It is a common problem that I see in our repair shop (with lots of brands and models). You can try flipping your LCD around to see if the image intermittently shows up. It could be a problem with the LCD driver board, but most commonly it is the cable. Your probably going to need to take it to your local repair shop.
