Question about Frigidaire FRS3R5EMB Side by Side Refrigerator

Frigidaire follow up side by side door noise.......

No pics came through or were visible. NOT sure if pics alone are going to solve it all, but i'm eagerly awaiting any more help you can supply.

i saw a diagram of my fridge and there doesn't seem to be any other part other than the BEARING - HINGE thing I mentioned. Just the bracket, screws, washer, and that, and no other thing that attaches to the door down there on the lower part.
help please , if you can. is the round, cone -shaped piece the thing you speak of?
thanks, -charles

hi, not sure why my posts are getting all mixed up and separated.

Anyway, thanks for your reply. Maybe you saw my original post with all the info. However, Your post is completely confusing to me, I don't get what you are saying. The attachments to the door are correct, a three hole metal 'hinge' at top, and an 'L' shaped bracket connector/hinge at bottom.

The top one does have a second set of holes for slightly moving placement on the top of the door, but I can tell they are likely in the same spot/holes that they have always been.

My problem is door noise, and I've been convinced by more than one person that the problem is at the bottom of the fridge door, even though sound is very loud at top of door when opened and then when closed.

Well, seems to be what someone here called a 'CAM' but what another site with schematics, and parts diagrams, called a 'BEARING - HINGE". It's a cheap plastic looking part piece that seems to just fit over the metal rod at the bottom and goes into the hole of the door bottom, sort of a sleeve like thing. Then the door itself just goes on to the L bracket connection piece to the door.

Is this the CAM that someone spoke of? Would this create the noise? Is replacing it at this point likely to fix and get rid of the loud pop noise?

these are essentially my questions, if you or anyone can help at this point I'd really really appreciate it very much. Thanks.

My original post is still up in the FRIDGIDAIRE FRS3R5EMB Side By Side category if referencing is needed. Again, my replies and follow ups, and questions to the original answer tech seem to be creating new posts now, and I don't know what's happening. Hopefully someone can piece together this and help me to understand if this problem is fixable with a simple added or replaced door part.
    thanks, -chaz

It sounds like we have the same problem. Everytime we open or close the door a loud "pop" sound comes from the bottom cam.  It looks like plastic junk to me.  It sounds a little quieter if you lift the door when opening or closing the door.  I know this isn't a good solution so if someone has figured out a solution please post.

    Thanks Chris

Ok these hindges are confusing but the hinges that came with it are not in right place
example top bottom
bottom top switch them they should match door geometer of made holes
one bracket on bottom door fits on bottom bracket
the top bracket goes on top of the door to hold the door in

Are you sure you have the right model #? Your refrigerator's model number may vary by type. The model number of a top freezer refrigerator can be seen along the upper left side wall of the fresh food compartment and is visible when the door is opened. The model number of a french door and side-by-side refrigerator can be seen along the upper right side of the fresh food compartment and is visible when the door is opened. model-number-refrigerators.png

Why door hinge popping noise

Hello friend, thank you for your inquiry!
I see your door hinge is making a popping noise on your Frigidaire refrigerator. It sounds like the door hinge may need to be replaced or the door could use an adjustment. I would recommend contacting a professional to come out to diagnose the appliance to avoid any unnecessary part purchases. I hope this helps. -Matt

If it is a squeak, you can lubricate the door hinges. If it is some other noise you will need to describe it.

Frigidaire side by side freezer - LOUD noise...

It sounds like the evaporator fan is hitting ice that is built up on the evaporator coil. When it's making the noise, open the freezer door and see if it stops.
(Most models are wired so that the evaporator fan cuts off when the freezer door is open.)
Check the inside back, lower panel of the freezer for ice built up or frost on it. If there is, you have a defrost problem that is most likley a bad heater. It's located around the coil inside the freezer behind the panel you will be looking at. The defrost problem would explain the freezer not freezing ice cream.

Humming noise would be your compressor going bad. The noise from the fan is because they are over working to try and keep everything cool

Ice Maker Making Noise

I was able to solve this problem by doing the following:

1) Carefully (because there may be sharp metal blades in this area) reached into the upper left compartment of the icemaker and pressed down on ice cubes that seemed to be lodged there and were protruding slightly above the slots they should have been passing through.

2) Press down on the cubes, forcing them through the slots and into the cube container below

3) Lift the metal arm, remove and completely empty the ice cube container

4) Return the ice cube container to the freezer, making sure it is seated properly

Close the freezer and wait until the ice cube maker begins to make new ice cubes. The sound should stop in around 10-15minutes.
