Question about Frigidaire FRS3R5EMB Side by Side Refrigerator

Frigidaire follow up side by side door noise.......

No pics came through or were visible. NOT sure if pics alone are going to solve it all, but i'm eagerly awaiting any more help you can supply.

i saw a diagram of my fridge and there doesn't seem to be any other part other than the BEARING - HINGE thing I mentioned. Just the bracket, screws, washer, and that, and no other thing that attaches to the door down there on the lower part.
help please , if you can. is the round, cone -shaped piece the thing you speak of?
thanks, -charles

hi, not sure why my posts are getting all mixed up and separated.

Anyway, thanks for your reply. Maybe you saw my original post with all the info. However, Your post is completely confusing to me, I don't get what you are saying. The attachments to the door are correct, a three hole metal 'hinge' at top, and an 'L' shaped bracket connector/hinge at bottom.

The top one does have a second set of holes for slightly moving placement on the top of the door, but I can tell they are likely in the same spot/holes that they have always been.

My problem is door noise, and I've been convinced by more than one person that the problem is at the bottom of the fridge door, even though sound is very loud at top of door when opened and then when closed.

Well, seems to be what someone here called a 'CAM' but what another site with schematics, and parts diagrams, called a 'BEARING - HINGE". It's a cheap plastic looking part piece that seems to just fit over the metal rod at the bottom and goes into the hole of the door bottom, sort of a sleeve like thing. Then the door itself just goes on to the L bracket connection piece to the door.

Is this the CAM that someone spoke of? Would this create the noise? Is replacing it at this point likely to fix and get rid of the loud pop noise?

these are essentially my questions, if you or anyone can help at this point I'd really really appreciate it very much. Thanks.

My original post is still up in the FRIDGIDAIRE FRS3R5EMB Side By Side category if referencing is needed. Again, my replies and follow ups, and questions to the original answer tech seem to be creating new posts now, and I don't know what's happening. Hopefully someone can piece together this and help me to understand if this problem is fixable with a simple added or replaced door part.
    thanks, -chaz

It sounds like we have the same problem. Everytime we open or close the door a loud "pop" sound comes from the bottom cam.  It looks like plastic junk to me.  It sounds a little quieter if you lift the door when opening or closing the door.  I know this isn't a good solution so if someone has figured out a solution please post.

    Thanks Chris

bottom top switch them they should match door geometer of made holes
one bracket on bottom door fits on bottom bracket

Hello Dddd;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

The model number is either on a label on the face of the range when you open the oven door or on the side of the door.

Why do you need a model number? What is the problem?

Go into the following website, put in your model number, you will get both diagrams and component part numbers for your appliance.

Ice dispenser turns on randomly. It has done this 3 times during the past hour. Can this be easily solved? If not, can the the freezer alone be turned off?

Hey Dunstin, thank you for your inquiry!
From what you have described your Frigidaire refrigerator is dispensing ice at random times. This could be a miscommunication within the control panel and I would recommend performing a reset. You can reset your refrigerator by disconnecting power from it for at least ten minutes. If you continue to experience an issue with your ice dispenser I would suggest contacting a professional technician for proper assistance with repairs. I hope this information is helpful to you. -Matt

Why does door locked light flash followed by an F90 error?

Hello. Make sure the rod is connecting to the lock mech properly--note in pic 1 parts 128 and 129 which join the rod to the lock. Also, in pic 2, follow the troubleshooting steps outlined on the right--most notably the stalled cooling fan, broken safety thermostat(you'll need a voltage/ohm meter and the power OFF), door switch circuits, and loose or broken connections in the wiring. I've also attached the wiring schematic for the door lock, lock motor, and associated parts. (bk/w means black wire with a white line), bl=blue, br=brown, w=white, L1=120v incoming hot, L2= 2nd 120v hot. In pic 4, the solid black line is the edge of the main oven control board. I hope this helps you!

How do I turn demo mode off on FGHS2631SS Frigidaire?

Are you sure you have the right model #? Your refrigerator's model number may vary by type. The model number of a top freezer refrigerator can be seen along the upper left side wall of the fresh food compartment and is visible when the door is opened. The model number of a french door and side-by-side refrigerator can be seen along the upper right side of the fresh food compartment and is visible when the door is opened. model-number-refrigerators.png

Dishwasher fills with water makes all the noises but dont wash the arms are not moving i have taken the arms off but still nothing just makes the noise

most likely this is caused by a bad motor in the unit so hers how to test to see if your motor disconnect and pull the entire unit out in this means draining the machine totally of the water and shutting off the water supply that goes to the water valve a simple way to test the motor would be to take an extension cord and get a couple blade connectors from radio shack disconnect the wiring to the motor make sure you shut off the breaker going to the machine before attempting this simply plug one side in to one side of the motor and lightly touch the other side to the other connector on the motor this way you can tell if the motor is working or not the next thing that you will want to do if you have a bad motor is contact marcone appliance parts give them your model and make of the machine and tell them you want the sump and motor kit which comes all as one piece this will save you about 105.00 because they sell them sepretly and if you buy the motor alone you get the 105 dollar ad in price why they do this is beyond me message me back with your finds on the motor please note you can also use a multimeter to assure that you are getting power to the motor beforehand but most of the time in frigidaire the motors seem to go within the first 2-3 year I await your reply and please also remember to rank how this opinion has helkped in your appliance situation thanks again
Rick
P.s make sure also that the handle is intact as well there is a small switch located where the handle is and if the door handle latch isnt hitting the switch when the door closes this could also cause the same thing but most likely its the motor
