I have curves on the convergance screen

iF the convergence will not adjust (bowed or 3d etc) the two convergence chips need to be replaced.

If you can solder this is a very basic repair (board is behind front grill---see photos)

Fixya now has a Beta Site where you can choose specific experts to assist you.

I am there also as SD TECH

I can tell you how to get at the board and exactly what to replace/look for.

Parts cost should (from the right source) be well under twenty five dollars.

let me know if you have questions or wish to attempt the repair and or use the BETA site.

Dear SD Tech, My WS-55859 suddenly stopped turning on, either from the remote or the front panel switch. It would click the relay and turn on the front panel light for a couple of seconds and then turn...

I have the address. 2,2 is short protection. 98% chance one of the two pico fuses pictured is blown.

Model indicated uses a single convergence chip; it and the fuses are on the middle board.

See attached photos of fuses (circled ones are suspects) and another of the chip.

A very helpful rating will result in instructions sent.

Attn sd tech i have a code 2 2 how do i repair?

It means one of the two pico fuses for CONVERGENCE is blown.

I will attach photo of the fuses; they and the two convergence chips this set uses are on the middle circuit board--also a photo of a typical IC.

Parts cost on EBAY will be under 20 dollars.

Instructions tell you everything you will need and exactly how to do the repair.

Give me a email and I will send them free.

If this was helpful rate this solution as very helpful as I do this here for free.

Red distorted color near top of screen not having much luck with trying to converge the lines on the tv set form. already tried factory reset

Reset will not cure a convergence problem.

this model (ws-65711) uses a single convergence chip located on the middle circuit board (see photo).

If convergence is skewed and will not adjust in customer menu the chip needs to be replaced.

Good news: I have start to finish, step by step instructions for this repair in this set. They tell you everything you will need and exactly how to do the repair.

No two sets with convergence problems will look exactly the same but I will also attach a few photos of this kind of trouble.

If the photos or what I have told you told you something you did not know and you want the instructions (free) rate this solution as very helpful as I do this here for free.

We have a WS 65511 with an error code 2,2. What does it mean and how can we fix it?

I am a expert on these sets and have fixed hundreds of them.

2,2 is short protection and 97% chance one or both of the pico fuses that protect the convergence circuit are blown (bad).

Model indicated uses a single STK-393-110 convergence IC. The fuses and chip are on the middle circuit board which needs to be removed to repair the set. Total parts cost will be under 25 dollars---I use a seller on EBAY who has the chip and the fuses.

I have start to finish step by step instructions for this repair in this model as I have done it hundreds of times.

Soldering and some skill are involved in getting the board out and replacing the parts.

let me know if I can assist you or if you have questions let me know here.

If you decide to repost this question mark it "attention SD TECH"
