Check that the +46/-46 voltage from power supply are both present on connector CB54. In one case the R531 0,05/3W was broken and +46V was missing. No other defective parts were found and product worked fine after installing new R531.

SOURCE: Amp wont switch off of stand-by

Both units have a problem with the output section. In case 1, the outputs are likely to be shorted. In case 2, the outputs are open. The low level and distortion come from you driving the speakers with the driver section of the amp. Both units will need to see a service provider.

SOURCE: Nad c350 no power at all

check your output stage for bad speakers cable or bare wire of cable touch the body of amp----short circuit speaker cable----bad speaker it self------ bad input cable or defective input device .
disconnect all and check if it is ok---start to connect one by one from input to outputs------if all above failed you must contact service center for help.

The unit is detecting a problem and shutting down in what is usually called "protect" mode. Look for bad connections on the board near the voltage regulators.

NAD C325BEE AMP - no audio. Audio o/p IC's measure ok.

trace the signal into those ic's, if there is input then the outputs aren't working unless of coarse you have no supply to them, then they wouldn't output sound.

I hav a 95 berrta and im tying to put a head unit

Hello chrisuftring,

Here's a link to the wiring color code for the '95 Chevy Beretta.

You'll need to match the function of each wire from your head unit and the color code for that would be in your manual. Most aftermarket units are somewhat standard as far as power, accessory, ground, and speaker connections are concerned. But the wiring colors may be different for such leads as remote, power antenna, illumination, dimmer, and muting.

An Alpine head unit has the following wiring colors:
Blue - Power Antenna
Blue/White - Remote
Pink/Black - Audio Interrupt (muting)
Orange - Illumination
Red- Switched 12V+
Yellow - Constant 12V+
Black - Ground
Gray - RF Speaker (+)
Gray/Black - RF Speaker (-)
White - LF Speaker (+)
White/Black LF Speaker (-)
Violet - RR Speaker (+)
Violet/Black RR Speaker (-)
Green - LR Speaker (+)
Green/Black - LR Speaker (-)

With this head unit, you would wire Yellow to Orange, Red to Yellow, Black to Black, Orange to Gray, Blue to Pink, Gray to Light Green, Gray/Black to Dark Green, White to Tan, White/Black to Gray, Violet to Dark Blue, Violet/Black to Light Blue, Green to Brown, and Green/Black to Yellow.

Note that there are 2 "yellow" wires in your vehicle color code. You'll have to test them to determine which one is the accessory wire and which one goes to the left rear speaker. Using a 12V "test light" is the simplest. Connect one side of the light to ground. With the ignition ON probe the yellow wires. One of them should light the tester, the other one won't. Verify that the light goes out when the ignition is OFF and your have separated the redundant "yellows". The one that lit the tester is your 12V+ switched wire and the other one goes to the left rear speaker.

Hope this helps.

Need user manual for setup of the amplifier.

It should say next to the speaker terminals what impedance of speaker the amplifier is rated for. You can drive any speaker within reason with just about any amplifier as long as you are not trying to attain loud levels. Here is a link to the service manual for your amplfier. It states in the schematic power ratings for 2,4, and 8 ohm speakers so you can assume that this amplifier is compatible with those impedance speakers. NAD is generally known for their beefy amplifier sections. http://www.scribd.com/doc/7234868/NAD-3020-Service-Manual

OK,  That means there's some kind of crazy fault in the temperature sensing circuits. I'm afraid you'll have to take it someplace and have it looked at for a more thorough diagnosis.
