"F20" is a No Water Detect error. It is an indication that you either have no water coming into the washer, or very little water at all. If the pressure switch has not tripped after 6 minutes, the error code is displayed. This can be a potential problem with the following:

If you have NO water in the wash tub, check the following:

- Inlet water valve may be clogged. Clean inlet screens if necessary.
- Make sure water taps are on.
- Check inlet hoses for kinks or clogs.

If you HAVE water filling the wash tub, check the following:

- Make sure you don't have a siphoning problem. Click the following link for instructions:

- Verify Drain Pump operation.
- Verify the Pressure Switch hoses are intact and connected properly.
- Verify wire harness connections at the pressure switch, inlet valves, drain pump and Central Control Unit (CCU).

To access the Drain Pump - UNPLUG the washer and take the lower panel under the door off by removing the three screws under the bottom edge. HINT: Propping the front feet of the washer up can make access much easier. I use a couple small blocks of wood. With the screws removed, the panel should drop down then come off. If it sticks, tap either side and it should come free. The pump is located directly under the wash tub in the front of the washer. Verify the electrical connections are good and that the pump is running. Click on the following link to check the pump for obstructions:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r385845-checking_drain_pump_in_whirlpool_duet

To access the Pressure Switch - remove the three screws in the top panel along the back of the washer. With the screws removed, the panel should slide back, then, lift off. The pressure switch is located on the right-hand side of the washer in the rear. It is a round plastic device with electrical connections and a plastic air hose attached. Verify the electrical connections are intact, and the air hose is attached and not cracked or leaking.

To access the Central Control Unit (CCU) - with the top panel of the washer removed, the CCU is located directly behind, and just above the rear of the wash tub. There should be a tech sheet directly behind the lower panel or attached to one of the interior cabinet walls. Please refer to this sheet to learn how to perform diagnostics and to verify the wire connections at the CCU. In addition, the tech sheet will also assist in how to locate the components mentioned, and the specific measurements required determining if the components are good or bad.

Had to change footvalve, now i have water but my presure gauge isnt working wright. it kicks on at 25 turns off at 30

the small nut on the pressure switch will adjust that, the large nut changes the cut in pressure you want 20 psi between cut in and cut out.the way for you to do this in turn small nut until cut out is 45 psi then the large nut will always keep the 20 psi spacing so turn the large nut down so it cuts in at 30 psi or up until it cuts in at 20

My hotpoint wd440n washer dryer keeps tripping out my mains. It seems to only do this on the drying programme

Is it an immediate cut off when in the drying mode? That would indicate a short somewhere. If it takes a few seconds, I would check the circuit breaker. If it is smaller than 20 Amps it should be replaced. Also if you have aluminum wiring, it tends to "loosen up" which causes exra heat in the breaker, thereby accelerating cut off. Just tightening the connection takes care of that. Be sure to turn it off!!

Hello,

the aquatek 110 power washer has an automatic cut-out for protection function. So its cutting out because its protecting the washer from one damage or the other.

From the look of things, the power washer is faulty, that's why it keeps cutting out.

Take care.

I keep getting an error code ... F-20. Please

Hi,

F20 indicates a water inlet problem (no water or insufficient water supply) in your washer. To resolve this issue check your washer inlets, maybe the water valves are off or you don't have enough water pressure.

Thank you!!

Error Code F-20

I have same machine and manual says, "F20" on display (water inlet problem - no water or insufficient water supply). Select STOP twice to cancel the cycle. Unplug washer or disconnect power. Check the following. Are water faucets completely turned on? Are screens at inlet hose connection to washer clogged? Are water inlet hoses kinked? Are water inlet hoses frozen? Plug in washer or reconnect power. Re select cycle and press START. if the problem remains, call for service.

Kenmore 98702 Stacked Washer keeps stopping, and a smell of smoke.

More than likely there is something locking up your motor. Either the transmission or the drain pump, both are connected to the motor. The easiest way is to disconnect the components from the motor to determine which one is causing the problem. Most of the time it is from the something being lodged in the pump, a sock, screw, wire, etc. To get to the pump you need to tip the washer back far enough to get underneath the washer.
