This appears to be a Canadian model. Here are specfics: http://www.toshiba.ca/web/product.grp?lg=en§ion=1&group=223&product=2352&part=2310#spectop
I'm not sure what you want in terms of a manual. The computer has Windows XP media installed. You can find books at Amazon.com or at your local library.
The Toshiba information deals with how to add memory, etc. It is located here: http://support.toshiba.ca/support/Download/files_downloads/PSP26C/SP26EXUM.CHM
If this helps, I'd appreciate 4 thumbs.

You need to give me more information to fix the safe mode problem. Does it go into safe mode without you touching it? You might try last known good configuration though I've not had much luck with that feature.

How do i reboot in safe mode

HI,

Follow this steps:

  1. Restart your computer.
  2. When the machine first starts again it will generally list some equipment that is installed in your machine, amount of memory, hard drives installed etc. At this point you should gently tap the F8 key repeatedly until you are presented with a Windows XP Advanced Options menu.
  3. Select the option for Safe Mode using the arrow keys.
  4. Then press enter on your keyboard to boot into Safe Mode.
  5. Do whatever tasks you require and when you are done reboot to boot back into normal mode.
I Hope it helped.

Need new / 2nd hand Toshiba satellite laptop motherboard

Hi timlondonuk,

I don't know if you've ever replaced the motherboard in a laptop, but it can be a serious chore - even damaging to the LCD connector and other devices if you're not careful. Oftentimes the cost of a replacement board is 50-75% of the cost of a new laptop, so you might consider that venue.

If you provide a model number we can help you find prices for the board.
