Question about MSI Wind UmNotebook

Open Question

My new MSI CR6000 has got an inbuilt web-cam that's not working, i have Windows 7 with a AMD dualcore processor. I have looked in 'Devices' and it does not appear, and the installed web-cam software can't find it at all. I'm just wondering if thier is any really stupid thing i'm missing or is it a bad problem?

The inbuilt webcam on my brand new zoostorm laptop is not working it is not recognising it in devices even though i am staring at it!!!!! very frustrating. The laptop came with windows 7

Thanks for asking FixYa for help. My name is Jeff and I will be assisting you today. Webcams and Windows 7 are the source of a lot of confusion. There is no built-in viewer for WebCam in Windows 7!

The webcam will not normally show up on the "Devices and Printers" page. But look at "Device Manager" and click on Imaging devices. You should see it there. If it is not there then you have a different problem.

If it appeared in Device Manager and you want to see the camera work, you need to test it with a program that will use the cam. Yahoo Mesenger will allow you to see your cam in action.

If you are in need of additional help, please let us know.

Thank you for allowing us to help you today. Don't forget to vote. 4 thumbs up please.
